Disciple of Prayer
Sad hours are cut sad I’m not fulltime like I am supposed to or getting fulltime hours ### I feel something going on I pray more hours open up and ### at her store got hours available I’m surprised I didn’t get ask to work there and pick up shift I got to keep pushing

We hear the heaviness in your heart as you share your struggle with work hours and the discouragement that comes with feeling overlooked or undervalued. It is understandable to feel this way when our efforts don’t seem to yield the results we desire, especially when we rely on our work to provide for ourselves and our families. But we want to lift you up in prayer and remind you that your worth is not defined by the number of hours on a schedule or the recognition of others. Your value comes from the Lord, who sees your labor and knows your needs.

Let us turn to Scripture for encouragement. The Lord promises in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This doesn’t mean we sit idly by, but it does remind us to trust in God’s provision even when circumstances feel uncertain. We are called to work diligently, as unto the Lord, but also to rest in the knowledge that He is our ultimate Provider.

We also want to gently remind you that anxiety and fear can sometimes cloud our perspective. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Have you taken time to surrender this burden to the Lord in prayer? He invites you to cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling the weight of this struggle. Lord, You see the longing in their heart for stability and provision, and You know the desires of their heart even before they speak them. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for them, whether through more hours at their current job or through new avenues You have prepared. Give them favor with their supervisors and coworkers, and let Your peace guard their heart as they wait on You.

Father, we also ask that You remind them of their identity in You. Help them to see themselves as You see them, valuable, loved, and purposefully created. When discouragement creeps in, fill them with Your joy and hope. Strengthen their faith to trust in Your timing and Your plans, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take root in their heart. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37), and we speak Your peace over their mind and emotions. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We also ask that You give them wisdom in how to approach their situation. If there are steps they can take, whether it’s having a conversation with their supervisor, seeking additional training, or exploring other job opportunities, guide them clearly. Let them walk in integrity and diligence, knowing that their work is ultimately for Your glory.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a spirit of perseverance over them. Help them to keep pushing forward, not in their own strength, but in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that even when the road is difficult, You are with them, and Your grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to refresh and renew your mind. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you to green pastures and still waters, even in the midst of life’s uncertainties. Keep pressing on, dear one. Your breakthrough is coming.

Oh, we hear the ache in your heart for something more, something that feels just out of reach. It’s so hard when you’re putting in the effort, showing up consistently, and still feeling like the hours or the recognition aren’t there. We can feel the frustration building up, like there’s this unspoken pressure to "prove" yourself or earn what feels like a basic right, stability, respect, even just a sense of belonging in your work.

We want to remind you that God doesn’t just see your hours; He sees the heart behind them, the persistence, the faithfulness, the way you keep showing up even when it feels like no one notices. There’s a quiet strength in that, and we believe He’s not unaware of it. Maybe the reason you’re feeling this surge of something "going on" isn’t just about more hours, but about Him preparing you for something even better. What if this season is about trusting Him to open doors you haven’t even imagined yet?

Let’s pray for you right now: Lord, we ask that You soften the hearts of those who make the decisions about hours and opportunities. Give them eyes to see the value in this person’s work and loyalty. But more than that, Lord, we pray for a shift in perspective, help them see beyond the schedule and recognize the effort, the reliability, and the heart that’s been poured into this job. And to this person, we pray for courage to speak up when needed, but also for patience to wait on Your timing. You’ve never left anyone who’s trusted You, and we know You’re working behind the scenes in ways we can’t always see.

We also lift up the energy and motivation you’re feeling, whatever it is that’s stirring inside you, we ask that You direct it toward purpose. Maybe it’s a nudge to step into a conversation, pursue a side opportunity, or even consider a new path entirely. Give clarity, wisdom, and the right words to say if the time comes. And when the discouragement creeps in (and it will), remind them of Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act." You’re not just waiting for a sign; You’re already moving, Lord. Help them to see that.

In Jesus’ name, we declare peace over their mind, strength for the journey, and the assurance that their worth isn’t tied to a paycheck or a schedule. You’ve got this, and we’re praying for you. Keep trusting.

📖 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. Luke 21:33.

Luke 21:34-36, “So be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, 🙏 praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

🙇🏻 Father, thank You for telling us these things through Your Son before they take place, so that while they are occurring, we may be believing, John 14:29. We know that everything that can be shaken will be shaken -- heaven, earth, sea, dry land and all nations, Hag 4:6-7 -- so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Heb 12:27, Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire, Heb 12:28. As things shift in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matt 6:11, for connection to Jesus, John 15:1-5, our Beloved, who is like a bundle of myrrh through the night who warms our hearts, Song 1:13, and for strength to ensure not only these trials with joy, Matt 5:12, James 1:2-3, but persecutions, famines, perils, wars and rumors of wars, even earthquakes in various places, storms of life and real storms on earth, knowing that no created thing can keep us from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Rom 8:35, for Jesus is risen and ascended and at Your Right Hand of Power, making intercession for us, Rom 8:34, praying our faith will not fail, that we stay connected to Him (and therefore to all the other branches that are connected to The Vine, John 15:1-5, and once we turn to You, not only is the veil is taken away, 2 Cor 3:16, so that with unveiled face we may be transformed from glory to glory, from the work of The Lord The Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 3:18, so that we may from that position of refreshing by abiding in Your presence, Acts 3:19, bear fruit, John 15:7-8, and strengthen others, Lk 22:32, introducing them to Christ's love through the ministry of reconciliation as Ambassadors of The New Creation, 2 Cor 5:14-21.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the (uncreated) love of God, which is being in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:27-29.

🧎🏻We ask these things in accordance Your will, Matt 12:50, which is Your Word, Luke 8:21, knowing that is what You hear, and when You hear, we have the requests we've asked, 1 Jn 5:14-15. With thanksgiving we make these requests known, Phil 4:6, thanking You in advance, Mk 11:24, with the promise that the peace of God which passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7. Thank You again in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen, The Faithful Witness and Originator of This New Creation, Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20. 🙌

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
