We come before You, Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up this heavy heart and troubled situation. We recognize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We ask that You would move powerfully in this circumstance, bringing Your peace, wisdom, and justice to bear.
Heavenly Father, we pray for this sister in Christ as she faces court. We ask that You would go before her, soften the hearts of those who will judge her case, and grant her favor. Let Your will be done, Lord, and may she experience Your mercy and grace in this time. We know that You are a God of justice and righteousness (Psalm 89:14), and we trust You to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). If there are areas where repentance is needed, we pray that You would bring conviction and lead her to a place of humility and restoration.
Father, we also lift up the strained relationship between this sister and the one who has written to us. We rebuke the spirit of anger, bitterness, and strife in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). We pray that both hearts would be softened, that pride would be broken, and that forgiveness would flow. Help them to communicate with love and respect, remembering that we are called to bear with one another in love (Colossians 3:13).
We also address the issue of money and control. Scripture warns us, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:10). If there is any ungodly attachment to finances or manipulation in this situation, we pray that You would break its power. Teach both individuals to trust in You as their provider (Philippians 4:19) and to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If this sister is demanding money in a way that is not righteous or honoring to You, we ask that You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance.
Father, we also pray for protection over this home. It sounds like there has been strife and tension, perhaps even words spoken in anger. We declare that no weapon formed against this household shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your peace would reign in every room. We rebuke any spirit of division, gossip, or slander in Jesus’ name. Let this home be a place of love, unity, and worship, where Your presence dwells richly.
Lastly, Lord, we lift up the physical pain this sister is experiencing. We ask for Your healing touch to come upon her sore and aching body. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray that You would bring relief, strength, and restoration to her body, mind, and spirit. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
In all these things, we surrender this situation to You, trusting that You are working even when we cannot see it. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
