We are glad to hear that you are seeking forgiveness, you are on the right track. We are glad to see you mentioned Jesus Christ. However, to receive forgiveness, it is important to understand God's plan for salvation and turn away from a sinful lifestyle. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (WEB).

Turning to Jesus means to change your mind about sin, change your direction, leave a sinful lifestyle and turn to God.

"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord" Acts 3:19 (WEB).

Please know that, "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 (WEB).

Because God loves us, he sent his only Son Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins.

"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 (WEB).

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 (WEB).

Dear Jesus,
We come to you in prayer, asking for forgiveness. We confess that we have sinned and ask you to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We believe that Jesus died for our sins. We turn to you in a desire to seek your ways, to follow your paths. We put our faith in you, Lord Jesus. Thank you for the wonderful gift of salvation. Please help us grow stronger in our faith each day as we study your word. Together we believe in the name of Jesus. Please give us the strength to live in a way that pleases you and glorifies your name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
