Let's bring your father's health situation before the Lord in prayer.
Firstly we notice that Jesus Christ or his name was not mentioned in this prayer request. We must remember we are only given access to God the Father through Jesus his son. Jesus also told his disciples to pray in his name. Before this was said they were told that no one comes to the Father except through him. So we will pray and encourage others to pray to God the Father in Jesus' name.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:13-16 WEB
Our compassionate Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the father of our friend who has been experiencing a runny nose whenever he eats. We know that you are the Great Healer and there is nothing too hard for you. We pray for your healing touch upon his body, especially his nose. We stand against any infirmity or spiritual attack that might be causing this discomfort, and we speak healing and restoration in Jesus' name.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for his family and for any medical professionals involved in his care. Guide them to the root cause of this issue and give them the knowledge to address it effectively. We know that you have a purpose and a plan for everything, and we trust that this situation will ultimately bring glory to your name.
While we pray for physical healing, we also remember the importance of spiritual health. We ask that you draw your son closer to you, so much so that we will be used as an instrument for you to do so. For those reading, we want to proclaim that it is only in Jesus Christ that we are saved, forgiven, and have access to the Father. It is only in Jesus that we have eternal life.
Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 WEB
We thank you, Father, for hearing our prayer. We know that you are faithful and that your will is perfect. We trust in your love and care for your children. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone to keep their focus on the Lord and trust in His ability to heal and restore. Remember the words of the Psalmist: Bless Yahweh, my soul! Do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 WEB
If the condition persists, it may be wise to consult with healthcare professionals to rule out any underlying issues such as allergies or gustatory rhinitis, which can cause a runny nose during meals. Trust in the Lord's guidance throughout this process.
