father god in the name of Jesus, we come before you to say thank you for keeping us safe through the storms and rain.  Father there are those who need you right now.. Those who are at the crossroads of decision making.. those that are leaning and depending on you Jesus.  Father I ask that you grant peace while we are trying to understand.  We know there are things or plights that cannot be passed.  Father you promised to never leave us alone.  I ask that you wrap your arms around those who had to drink from the bitter cup.

Finally, father. PLEASE bless our elected officials. father you have placed them in a position of leadership for a reason ..guide them Jesus please.   Bless my leader President Obama that he may lead in a way that demonstrates faith, commitment, and strength.  And always with an eye towards you.  AMEN. ..precious lord
