🎪 Revival, Washed by Word to Be Pure Bride 👰🏽‍♀️ Eph 5:26-33, Sanctification of Holy Spirit 💦Heb 12:14, 💫 Ministry of Reconciliation 2 Cor 5:19 🫂 (Vertically -- reconcile God and Humanity... AND Horizontally -- Restoration between Churches, Ministries, Family and Friends -- Unity, John 17:1-25...

🧎🏻 Father, we thank You for the testimony of past revivals and even reformations, for revivalists and reformers, patriarchs, apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, Eph 4:11-15. We ask for revival and reformation in ourselves, our churches, families, friends and even all peoples, 1 Tim 2:1-2, for this pleases You, since You desire all people groups and positions to be saved and come to the knowledge of The Truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4.

📖 Jesus, revive and reform us, our pastors, leaders, churches, cities, Jer 29:7, regions, states, nations, 1 Tim 2:1-4. Indeed as You live, let all the earth be filled with Your glory, Numbers 11:24, Ps 72:19, even as the waters cover the seas, Isa 11:9. Hab 2:14. Shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6, enlighten the eyes of our understanding, Eph 1:17-18, to love You with ALL our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30-31, and our neighbors as ourselves. Let us be sanctified and washed in The Truth of the Water of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:25-26, until You present us to Yourself as Your glorious church with no spot or wrinkle or any such blemish, Eph 5:26-31, this mystery is great, but I speak of Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33.

💨 Let it be, Holy Spirit, that we participate with Your sanctifying work, 1 Pet 1:2, so we may by The Spirit put to death the deeds of the flesh, Rom 8:13, and thus by not by our might, nor power, but by My Spirit, says The LORD, Zech 4:6, may we walk in the works You prepared in advance for us to do, Eph 2:10, and thus make ourselves ready as The Bride for Jesus Christ Our Husband, Rev 19:7, and receive the final icing of white linens, pure and bright, for the fine linens are the righteous deeds of the saints, Rev 19:8...

Through Jesus Christ The Mediator of this New Covenant, 1 Tim 2:5, inaugurated by the offering of Yourself once for all, Heb 12:24, we offer these prayers with thanksgiving for obtaining the eternal inheritance, Heb 9:15, in advance, Mk 11:24, for by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14, so we may obey the eternal Gospel to fear God and give You glory, Rev 14:6-7, for if You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You mayest be feared, Ps 130:3-4.

Lastly we thank You that You were in Christ by The Fullness of The Spirit without measure, Jn 3:34, reconciling the world back to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, and have given us the same ministry of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. Help us do the work of an evangelist, and thus fulfill that ministry, 2 Tim 4:5. May we be serve You in our spirit in the preaching of the Gospel of Your Son, Rom 1:9, that we might bear much fruit, Jn 15:7-8, not only of The Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, but a harvest of souls in order to bring others from the nations into Your sheepfold, Jn 10:16, helping You as Your helpmeets, Gen 2:17-18, Eph 5:32-33, gathering and calling others to come, Luke 14:21-23, to the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, Isa 25:6, Matt 22:1-2, and to the discipleship of sanctification by continually knowing Truth by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, Matt 28:19-20, and continuing to patiently continue to call all of us to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Heb 12:14, as Your holy people, Your own possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, enabling and emboldening us with Power from on High to be witnesses, Acts 1:8, proclaiming Your excellencies 1 Peter 2:9. Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus and Thank You Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 13:14, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

A Passion for Souls
A Warning Against Hardness of Heart
The Unrivalled Friend
We join with you in this cry for revival and reformation and we thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart for the Church to be washed and made ready as a pure Bride for Christ.

Your prayer beautifully captures the heart of what God desires, that Christ might sanctify and cleanse His church with the washing of water by the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without defect, Eph 5:26-27. We echo this longing with you, that we would be sanctified in truth, for Your word is truth, John 17:17, and that we would pursue the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, Heb 12:14.

We are encouraged that you have centered this prayer on Jesus Christ, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Tim 2:5, and that in Him God was reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His single offering that He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14. We give thanks that you have prayed in Jesus name, for whatever we ask in His name He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, John 14:13.

We agree with you for revival vertically and horizontally, for reconciliation first to God and then restoration between churches, ministries, families and friends, that they may all be one even as the Father is in the Son and the Son in the Father, that the world may believe, John 17:21. This unity is not of our own making but comes as we continue steadfastly in the apostles teaching and fellowship, Acts 2:42, and as we are built up until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, Eph 4:13.

We pray together now for this work of the Holy Spirit in us.

Father, we thank You for every testimony of revival and reformation You have given through history, for apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, Eph 4:11-12. We ask now for that same mercy upon us, upon our churches, our families, our cities and our nation, for You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Lord Jesus, revive us and reform us, shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6, and enlighten the eyes of our hearts, Eph 1:18, that we may love You with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength, Mark 12:30, and love our neighbors as ourselves. Wash us by Your Word until we are without spot or blemish, and make us ready as the Bride who has made herself ready, for it was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints, Rev 19:7-8.

Holy Spirit, we yield to Your sanctifying work, 1 Pet 1:2, that by the Spirit we may put to death the deeds of the body, Rom 8:13, not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit, Zech 4:6, walking in the good works which You prepared beforehand that we should walk in them, Eph 2:10. Empower us from on high to be Your witnesses, Acts 1:8, to do the work of an evangelist and fulfill our ministry, 2 Tim 4:5, serving with our spirit in the Good News of Your Son, Rom 1:9, and bearing much fruit, John 15:8, both the fruit of the Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, and a harvest of souls gathered into the sheepfold, John 10:16, and called to the marriage feast of the Lamb, Matt 22:2. Lead us to continue in Your Word that we may know the truth and the truth will make us free, John 8:31-32, and to go and make disciples of all nations, Matt 28:19, proclaiming the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, 1 Pet 2:9.

We ask that You would fill all the earth with Your glory as the waters cover the sea, Hab 2:14, that Your glory would be seen upon a holy people, Your own possession, and that many would fear You and give You glory, Rev 14:7, knowing that with You there is forgiveness, Ps 130:4. We offer these prayers with thanksgiving through Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant, Heb 12:24, trusting that if we ask according to Your will You hear us, 1 John 5:14, and that Your grace is sufficient to accomplish this sanctifying work in us. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We love the burden you carry for Jesus to wash His church and make her ready, and for people near and far to know Him. That desire for personal holiness and for unity between God and people and among His people is close to God's own heart, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

What has helped us when we pray for revival is remembering that being set apart is both something God has already done for us in Christ and a lifelong process He continues in us by His Spirit. It happens gradually, often imperceptibly, with highs and lows, not all at once. We have a part to play as we keep turning to Him, but we cannot make ourselves grow apart from Him.

A simple way to keep responding is to stay in the ordinary means He uses: time in His Word, honest prayer, worship with other believers, and walking in dependence on the Holy Spirit rather than our own resolve. If there is one relationship or one local gathering where God is stirring you to pursue reconciliation or unity, ask Him to show you one faithful next step there this week and take it as He enables.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy in Christ and for Your Spirit at work in us. Wash us by Your Word, form us more into the likeness of Jesus, and use us to carry Your ministry of reconciliation where You have placed us. Fill the earth with the knowledge of Your glory for Your name's sake. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for revival and for a spotless Bride washed by the water of the Word is itself a token that the Spirit of God is at work among you, and we join our hearts with yours in this petition before the throne of grace.

That your hearts may be gladdened, remember the noble position into which the grace of God has lifted all believers, for by the will of God we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Incarnate God, by offering His own blood, by bearing in His own body the curse and in His own spirit enduring the wrath, has effected the purpose of the everlasting Father in purging His people and setting His chosen apart to be henceforth holiness unto the Lord. The Father joins in the verdict of His Son that it is finished, all the will of God for the sanctification of His people is accomplished. This perfect sanctification is bought for us by Christ, and it must be applied to us by the Holy Spirit, who takes away from us all hope of being sanctified before God by any means of our own, brings us to see our need of cleansing and reconciliation, and then takes of the things of Christ and reveals them to us.

You pray rightly that we may be washed in the truth of the water of the Word, that Christ might present us to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle. This washing is not a mere outward cleansing. We are to follow holiness, that practical, personal, active, vital holiness which is the opposite of impurity, for God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Without holiness no one shall see the Lord. This does not mean a pretended perfection of holiness, for no one who knows his own heart ever pretends to be perfectly conformed to God's will, but it does mean a real holiness that deals with the thoughts and intents, the purposes and motives of men. Morality may clean the outside of the cup, but holiness goes into the very caverns of the heart and sets the heart upon God to beat with love to Him. And this holiness is not produced by our might nor by our power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord. It is the Spirit who enables us to put to death the deeds of the flesh and to walk in the good works which God hath before ordained.

You ask also for the ministry of reconciliation, both vertically between God and man, and horizontally in unity among brethren. This is the very fruit of true revival. If a revival be true and real, it is caused by the Holy Spirit, and by Him alone. We cannot get up a revival by machinery, for a Church cannot be revived unless God revives it. When the Spirit comes, there will be life in the Church and life in the ministry, life in prayer, life in effort, life in holiness, life in brotherly love, and then the calling out of many converts. At one time He creates a revival at Samaria, at another He saves a single soul on the road to Gaza, but wherever He works there is dedication to God of the fullest kind, and side by side with it unity with the Church, for the declaration I am the Lord's is joined with calling himself by the name of Jacob. So we pray with you for that unity for which our Lord prayed in John seventeen, that the world may know the Father sent the Son.

Take comfort also that this perseverance is perseverance in holiness, for He hath said they shall not depart from me. If the grace of God hath really changed you, you are radically and lastingly changed, and He who hath met the demands of moral government by His atoning death will keep you. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, bowels of compassion, holiness and love, and let the world see that God's chosen ones are made by grace the choicest of men, who live nearer to Christ and are more like Christ.

We therefore avow our desire to walk with God in this present effort, for in vain shall we struggle after revival unless we have His presence, and we cry with the Psalmist, Wilt Thou not revive us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee. We ask not for excitement without reality, but for that revival which brings forth most fruit to the praise and glory of God, when His people rejoice in Him because they are revived, and when sinners are gathered into the marriage supper of the Lamb.

May the Lord shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, enlighten the eyes of our understanding, and cause us to love Him with all our heart and soul and mind and strength, and our neighbours as ourselves, continuing in His Word that we may know the truth and be made holy thereby, until we are made ready as a Bride adorned for her Husband, clothed in fine linen pure and bright, which is the righteous deeds of the saints wrought in us by grace.

We commend you and your churches, your families and your cities to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, through Jesus Christ the Mediator of the new covenant, who by one offering hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. May He grant you power from on high to be witnesses unto Him, to do the work of an evangelist and to fulfil your ministry, to the praise of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
