🎪 Revival, Washed by Word to Be Pure Bride 👰🏽‍♀️ Eph 5:26-33, Sanctification of Holy Spirit 💦Heb 12:14, 💫 Ministry of Reconciliation 2 Cor 5:19 🫂 (Vertically -- reconcile God and Humanity... AND Horizontally -- Restoration between Churches, Ministries, Family and Friends -- Unity, John 17:1-25...

🧎🏻 Father, we thank You for the testimony of past revivals and even reformations, for revivalists and reformers, patriarchs, apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, Eph 4:11-15. We ask for revival and reformation in ourselves, our churches, families, friends and even all peoples, 1 Tim 2:1-2, for this pleases You, since You desire all people groups and positions to be saved and come to the knowledge of The Truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4.

📖 Jesus, revive and reform us, our pastors, leaders, churches, cities, Jer 29:7, regions, states, nations, 1 Tim 2:1-4. Indeed as You live, let all the earth be filled with Your glory, Numbers 11:24, Ps 72:19, even as the waters cover the seas, Isa 11:9. Hab 2:14. Shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6, enlighten the eyes of our understanding, Eph 1:17-18, to love You with ALL our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30-31, and our neighbors as ourselves. Let us be sanctified and washed in The Truth of the Water of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:25-26, until You present us to Yourself as Your glorious church with no spot or wrinkle or any such blemish, Eph 5:26-31, this mystery is great, but I speak of Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33.

💨 Let it be, Holy Spirit, that we participate with Your sanctifying work, 1 Pet 1:2, so we may by The Spirit put to death the deeds of the flesh, Rom 8:13, and thus by not by our might, nor power, but by My Spirit, says The LORD, Zech 4:6, may we walk in the works You prepared in advance for us to do, Eph 2:10, and thus make ourselves ready as The Bride for Jesus Christ Our Husband, Rev 19:7, and receive the final icing of white linens, pure and bright, for the fine linens are the righteous deeds of the saints, Rev 19:8...

Through Jesus Christ The Mediator of this New Covenant, 1 Tim 2:5, inaugurated by the offering of Yourself once for all, Heb 12:24, we offer these prayers with thanksgiving for obtaining the eternal inheritance, Heb 9:15, in advance, Mk 11:24, for by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14, so we may obey the eternal Gospel to fear God and give You glory, Rev 14:6-7, for if You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You mayest be feared, Ps 130:3-4.

Lastly we thank You that You were in Christ by The Fullness of The Spirit without measure, Jn 3:34, reconciling the world back to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, and have given us the same ministry of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. Help us do the work of an evangelist, and thus fulfill that ministry, 2 Tim 4:5. May we be serve You in our spirit in the preaching of the Gospel of Your Son, Rom 1:9, that we might bear much fruit, Jn 15:7-8, not only of The Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, but a harvest of souls in order to bring others from the nations into Your sheepfold, Jn 10:16, helping You as Your helpmeets, Gen 2:17-18, Eph 5:32-33, gathering and calling others to come, Luke 14:21-23, to the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, Isa 25:6, Matt 22:1-2, and to the discipleship of sanctification by continually knowing Truth by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, Matt 28:19-20, and continuing to patiently continue to call all of us to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Heb 12:14, as Your holy people, Your own possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, enabling and emboldening us with Power from on High to be witnesses, Acts 1:8, proclaiming Your excellencies 1 Peter 2:9. Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus and Thank You Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 13:14, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this cry for revival and reformation and we thank God for the hunger He has placed in your heart for holiness and for His glory to fill the earth.

Your prayer aligns so beautifully with the heart of Scripture. We agree with you that we need to be washed by the water of the Word and made ready as a pure Bride for Christ. As it is written, Christ loved the assembly and gave himself up for it, that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without defect, Eph 5:25-27. This is that sanctification of the Spirit that Peter speaks of, chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, 1 Pet 1:2, and without which no one will see the Lord, Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, Heb 12:14.

We love how you have prayed both vertically and horizontally, for reconciliation with God and for restoration and unity among His people. That is the very ministry He has given us, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. And Jesus Himself prayed for that horizontal unity that flows from vertical reconciliation, that they may all be one, even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us, John 17:21, so that the world may know.

We also rejoice that you have prayed all of this through Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and men, 1 Tim 2:5, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can offer these prayers with confidence.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You for every testimony of revival and reformation in generations past, for the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers You gave to equip the saints, Eph 4:11-12. We ask now for a fresh revival and reformation in us first, then in our families, our churches, our cities and our nation. Pour out Your Spirit upon us and enlighten the eyes of our hearts, Eph 1:18, and shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6.

Lord Jesus, wash us and sanctify us in the truth, Your word is truth, John 17:17. Help us to continue in Your word so we may truly be Your disciples and know the truth that sets us free, John 8:31-32. By Your Spirit help us to put to death the deeds of the body, Rom 8:13, not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit, Zech 4:6, so that we may walk in the good works You prepared beforehand for us, Eph 2:10, and make ourselves ready as Your Bride, adorned in fine linen bright and pure, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints, Rev 19:7-8.

Holy Spirit, empower us to fulfill the ministry of reconciliation. Give us power when You have come upon us to be witnesses, Acts 1:8, to do the work of an evangelist, 2 Tim 4:5, and to serve God in our spirit in the Good News of His Son, Rom 1:9, bearing much fruit, John 15:8, both the fruit of the Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, and a harvest of souls gathered into the one flock of the one Shepherd, John 10:16, to the marriage supper of the Lamb, Rev 19:9. Make us a holy people, Your own possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light to proclaim Your excellencies, 1 Pet 2:9, pursuing holiness and unity among all Your churches and families.

We thank You, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14, and that with You there is forgiveness, Ps 130:4. Let Your glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea, Hab 2:14, and let all the earth be filled with Your glory, Ps 72:19. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, that whatever we ask in His name He may do, John 14:13-14, Amen.

We are grateful for your prayer and the deep longing behind it for Jesus to make His people clean, holy and ready, and to bring reconciliation both with God and among His people. Your love for the church, for families and for those who have not yet come to know Him comes through clearly, and we join you in asking the Lord to work in all those places.

What encourages us in what you shared is that becoming more like Jesus is both God's gracious work in us and a walk we take part in day by day. It happens gradually over a lifetime, with seasons of strength and seasons of struggle, not all at once. That is why staying close to the ordinary means He uses matters so much, time in the Word, honest prayer, worship, and walking with other believers who can encourage and keep us accountable, all in dependence on the Holy Spirit who alone gives growth.

If it helps, perhaps choose one simple next step to keep this prayer alive beyond this moment, like gathering a few trusted believers to pray regularly for your own church and city, and to keep opening the Word together so He can wash and shape you as His people.

Father, we ask You to keep shaping us to be more like Jesus, to deepen our love for You and for one another, and to make us faithful in sharing Your reconciling love with others. Fill our hearts with Your presence and make us ready for all You have prepared, in Jesus name, Amen.

Your longing for revival and for the Church to be washed by the Word and presented as a pure Bride is a desire that God Himself has planted, and we join our hearts with yours in this prayer.

We rejoice to remember that by the will of God we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Incarnate God by offering His own blood, by bearing in His own body the curse and enduring wrath, has effected the purpose of the Father in purging His people and setting His chosen apart. The Father joins in the verdict of the Son that it is finished, all the will of God for the sanctification of His people is accomplished. This noble position must be applied to us by the Holy Spirit, who takes away all hope of being sanctified by any means of our own, brings us to see our need of cleansing and reconciliation, and takes of the things of Christ and reveals them to us. What we do can then be accepted in His service.

In this we hear also the solemn word that without holiness no one shall see the Lord. This is not a perfection of holiness which would shut us all out, for no one who knows his own heart pretends to be perfectly conformed to God's will, but it is a practical, personal, active, vital holiness, the opposite of impurity. It is not mere morality which may clean the outside of the cup while the heart remains full of wickedness. Holiness deals with the thoughts and intents, the purposes and motives, and requires that the heart shall be set on God and beat with love to Him. If grace has really changed you, you are radically and lastingly changed, for this perseverance of the saints is perseverance in holiness, they shall not depart from Him. As the elect of God we are to put on bowels of compassion, holiness and love, that the world may see that grace makes us to live nearer to Christ and more like Christ.

And concerning revival, we are taught that if a revival be true and real, it is caused by the Holy Spirit and by Him alone. The machinery for getting up a revival may often be the greatest hindrance to true godliness. A Church cannot be revived unless God revives it. In vain shall we struggle after revival unless we have His presence, and we must avow our desire to walk with God in the effort. Wherever the Spirit of God comes there will be life in the Church and life in the ministry, life in prayer, life in effort, life in holiness, life in brotherly love, and the next effect will be seen in the calling out of numerous converts. Such a revival brings forth most fruit that gives to God the most glory, for the result is not only the conversion of men but the praise of God, and His people rejoice in Him because they are revived.

Therefore we pray with you, Will You not revive us again, O Lord. We ask the Father to shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and to sanctify us through the truth of the water of His Word, that He might present us as a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle. We ask the Holy Spirit to help us by His power to put to death the deeds of the flesh, not by might nor by power but by His Spirit, that we may walk in the good works prepared for us and make ourselves ready as the Bride. We ask for the ministry of reconciliation to bear fruit both vertically in reconciliation to God through the blood of Christ, and horizontally in restored unity among brethren, that the prayer of our Lord in John seventeen may be seen, that we may be one as He and the Father are one, the bride leaning upon her Beloved alone and yielding allegiance to none else, set apart from worldliness for higher work.

May the Lord grant you to continue in His Word, to know the Truth and to follow holiness with patience, till the earth shall be filled with His glory as the waters cover the sea. May He keep you abiding in Christ, bearing much fruit of the Spirit and a harvest of souls gathered to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, all to the praise of His grace.
