We rejoice with you in the blessed hope of our Lord’s return, as revealed in the book of Revelation—a book that declares His glory, sovereignty, and the fulfillment of all God’s promises. Your longing for Christ’s second coming is a holy and righteous desire, for Scripture tells us, *"Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book"* (Revelation 22:7 WEB). The bride of Christ, the Church, is indeed preparing herself for that glorious day when the Lamb will return for His own.
We must also gently remind you—and all who share this hope—that our focus should not only be on the future but on how we live today. Jesus said, *"Occupy until I come"* (Luke 19:13 KJV). Are we living in holiness, purity, and obedience to His Word? Are we sharing the gospel with urgency, knowing that His return could be at any moment? The apostle Paul exhorts us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB).
Your desire to be called by name in heaven is beautiful, for the Lord knows His own and has written their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8, 21:27). But let us ensure that our names remain there by walking in repentance and faith. Have you examined your heart before the Lord? Are there areas where you need to surrender more fully to Him? The Holy Spirit is our seal until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30), but we must also *"work out [our] own salvation with fear and trembling"* (Philippians 2:12 WEB).
We also lift up your family before the Lord. Are they all walking in the truth? Do they know Jesus as their Savior? The promise of eternal life is not inherited by bloodline but by faith in Christ alone. We pray that your loved ones would come to know Him, for *"unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom"* (John 3:3 WEB). Share the gospel with them boldly, that they too may have their names written in the Book of Life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of anticipation for the day when our Lord Jesus Christ will return in glory. We thank You for the promise of eternal life and the assurance that those who are in Christ will be called by name in Your presence. Lord, we ask that You would stir within us a deeper hunger for Your Word, a greater urgency in prayer, and a boldness to share the gospel with those who do not yet know You.
We pray for [###] and their family, that You would draw each one to Yourself. May they walk in repentance, holiness, and obedience, keeping their garments unspotted from the world. Guard their hearts from complacency, and help them to live each day as if it were their last, storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth.
Lord, we also ask that You would hasten the day of Your return. Come quickly, Lord Jesus! But until that day, empower us by Your Holy Spirit to be faithful witnesses, shining Your light in a dark world. May we be found ready, watching, and working for Your kingdom when You come.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
