We know how deep the longing is to have clarity from God when something specific weighs on the heart, and we are encouraged that you desire His wisdom and not merely your own understanding. Scripture assures us that God delights to give guidance to His children. James 1:5 tells us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know, and to the prayer in Ephesians 1:17-18 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened. God does not hide Himself from those who seek Him earnestly, and Psalm 32:8 gives us comfort where He says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You see the specific matter that is on their heart even before it is spoken in detail, for You know all things. We ask that You pour out Your spirit of wisdom and revelation upon them now. Open the eyes of their understanding, quiet every distracting voice, and let Your still small voice be heard with clarity. Give them discernment to know Your will, courage to follow it, and peace that passes all understanding as they wait on You. Lead them by Your Word, for Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and confirm Your direction through the counsel of Scripture and the leading of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You remove confusion and grant confidence that You are guiding each step. We trust that You will answer in Your perfect timing and in Your perfect way. Your longing for more understanding and for guidance from the Lord is itself a good sign of His gracious work in you, and we join you in prayer that He will give it.
Know this, that true wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. As Job declares, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. The price of wisdom is above rubies and it is not found by the keen eye of man, but is revealed in the Word of God and in His dear Son, who is the heart of the eternal purpose and the climax of revelation. In all the glory of His infinite wisdom the Lord has written to us a divine message in the rugged grandeur and sublime simplicity of language which even a child can comprehend, and that revelation directs our faith to Himself.
We pray that the Lord will give you an attentive ear and an understanding heart. The Word cannot become a sanctifying word to any except as far as they receive it into the understanding, and that understanding is a free grace gift from the hand of our Lord. Had He withheld it we would never have found the Savior. Therefore ask Him who dresses divine wisdom in robes of love and tenderness and invites us to run into her arms.
The Lord guides His people in several gentle ways. He infuses great principles into those who take Him for their guide, chief among them to avoid everything that is evil, for holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity. And bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. He has promised, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Take heed also against haste, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Wait upon the Lord in His Word, in prayer, and in the counsel of the faithful, and do not run before you have light. We would not seek a new voice apart from Scripture, but would ask that the Lord will make His written Word plain to you and will enlighten your understanding by His Spirit, for grace must come and enlighten the understanding, influence the will, and change the affections.

O Lord our God, who desirest truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part makest us to know wisdom, look upon this seeker who asks for revelation and guidance. Give an understanding to know Thee and the height and depth of Thy precious love. Open the eyes of the understanding to behold Thy counsel in Scripture. Grant a submissive heart to Thy will, keep from all evil, and make the path of wisdom plain. Guide with Thy counsel now, and afterward receive to glory, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

We lift up your request for revelation and guidance before God together with you. Scripture teaches that true wisdom and understanding do not come from our own minds or from the wisdom of this world, which ends in this life and cannot profit the soul, but from the grace and working of the Holy Spirit. As the apostle prayed, we pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened.
In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and the wisdom God has prepared before the ages for our glory is revealed by His Spirit, for the Spirit searches the deep things of God. The natural mind cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are spiritually discerned, so there is need of spiritual wisdom that comes through faith, love, and obedience to His Word. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and virtue is the root of prudence, while deceit and wickedness drive understanding away.
We pray that God will make His will clear to you in His perfect time, for He alone knows the right time, and that He will bring you into full assurance of understanding through faith. Continue to seek Him in Scripture, in steady prayer, and in fellowship with faithful believers, trusting that salvation and all true light come through Jesus Christ alone.
