Divine Love and Its Gifts
The Red Heifer
Jesus Only
We join you together in prayer in Jesus' name for revelation, guidance and increased understanding, and we thank you for asking us to seek the Lord with you for this.

We are encouraged that you desire wisdom and clarity from God, for He delights to give it to His children when we ask in faith. The Scripture promises us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We also cling to His invitation, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and hidden things, which you don't know, Jeremiah 33:3. God does not hide His will from those who seek Him with a sincere heart, but He reveals it through His Word and by His Holy Spirit in His perfect timing.

We pray that you will find your greatest revelation in the Word of God, for Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path, Psalm 119:105. We pray that the Lord will guard you from seeking revelation apart from Scripture, and that any guidance you receive will be tested against His Word and confirmed by His peace.

We lift you up now together before the Father. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone. We ask that You pour out upon our dear one a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, having the eyes of the heart enlightened, that they may know what is the hope of Your calling, Ephesians 1:17-18. Grant clear guidance concerning this specific matter on their heart, remove all confusion and anxiety, and give deep spiritual understanding. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not lean on their own understanding, and in all their ways acknowledge You, so that You will make their paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. Speak clearly, Lord, through Your Word, through prayer, and through the gentle leading of Your Holy Spirit, and give patience to wait upon Your perfect timing. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to dwell in the Word daily, to pray without ceasing, and to wait expectantly upon the Lord. He is faithful to lead those who seek Him diligently, and He will give you the understanding you need for each step.

We are grateful you reached out and asked for prayer for revelation and understanding. Wanting to know God's direction clearly is a good and honest desire, and we are glad to stand with you in it.

Sometimes when we want an answer right now, the waiting itself feels heavy. What has helped many of us is to get very specific before the Lord about the question, and then to give Him space to answer in His timing and way, not just ours. Guidance often becomes clearer as we stay close to Him day by day rather than all at once.

One simple step that may help this week is to write down in one or two sentences the specific area where you are asking for understanding. Bring that one question to the Lord each morning in a quiet moment, ask Him to show you the next faithful step, and notice what keeps coming back as you read Scripture and talk with a mature believer you trust. Jotting down what you sense can make it easier to see patterns over time.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the desire for understanding and the specific matter on their heart. Grant clarity where there is confusion, peace where there is pressure, and wisdom to recognize Your leading. Help them to rest in Your care while they wait and to walk faithfully in what You show them. Amen.

Your longing for revelation and understanding is a right and needful desire, and we join with you in prayer to our gracious God who gives wisdom liberally.

We are taught in the Scriptures that God will guide His people with His counsel and afterward receive them to glory. Nine times out of ten you may find that guidance by looking to His revealed will in His Word. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. There are wonderfully plain directions there as to all manner of circumstances, and by knowing what you must not do you will often be able to conclude what you may do. There is also a providential will of God which we should always consult, for all things are under His regulation and have an appointed place in His plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains.

Do not seek a new voice apart from that Word, but pray for the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what is already written, and to work in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. As surely as His will is the axle of the universe, so in grace He is King, having mercy on whom He will have mercy, and His work is to change the human will and make men willing in the day of His power. True guidance comes when grace dethrones obstinacy and gives us acquiescence in the Divine will, so that we can say from the heart, I will go or I will stay, if it is the will of God. If you live near to God, He will say things to you in the secret of your soul that He will not tell to others who remain at a distance.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

O Lord our God, look upon this seeking soul who asks for light. Grant according to Thy perfect will not a fanciful revelation, but the true illumination of Thy Spirit, that the eyes of understanding may be enlightened. Guide with Thy counsel, make Thy revealed will plain, order the providences around this life, and bow the heart to submit to whatever Thou ordainest. Give a teachable spirit, a willingness to obey what is already made known, and patience to wait for what Thou hast yet hidden. Let Thy grace be sufficient, and let Thy Word be a lamp unto the feet. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, trusting not in our worth but in His merit. Amen.

Continue to search the Scriptures daily, to pray for a submissive will, and to watch how Providence opens and shuts doors. The Lord who has promised to guide you will not fail you, for His promise may tarry but it never fails.
