We join with you in Jesus' name in asking our Heavenly Father for clear revelation and godly understanding, and we thank you for seeking Him for guidance.
We love your desire for more understanding, for God delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him with a sincere heart. He does not hide Himself from those who seek Him diligently through His Word and through prayer. James 1:5 reminds us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we ask for revelation, we are asking for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our hearts, as Ephesians 1:17-18 says, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened.
We also encourage you to continue to seek Him patiently and to test all understanding against Scripture, for God speaks most clearly through His Word and by His Spirit. He promises in Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. And He assures us in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Sometimes His answer comes immediately, and sometimes He grows our understanding step by step as we walk in obedience, so we encourage you to remain in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with Him while you wait.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation and grant clear understanding concerning the specific matter on their heart. Remove any confusion, fear, or distraction, and let Your truth shine brightly. Guide every step and make the path straight, that they may discern Your will and walk in it. Open the eyes of their heart to know Your calling and Your counsel, and give peace that passes understanding as they trust in You. We ask that You speak in the way You know is best, through Your Word and by Your Spirit, and that You confirm Your direction. We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our only Savior and mediator, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily, to write down what He shows you in Scripture, and to continue to ask, seek, and knock, trusting that our faithful God hears and will answer according to His perfect wisdom and timing.
