We join you in asking for revelation and guidance and we stand with you before the Father in Jesus' name seeking His will to be made clear to you now.

We understand your desire for more understanding and for God to reveal His will to you. This is a godly desire and Scripture encourages us to seek wisdom from Him. James 1:5 says, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Jeremiah 33:3 says, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.

God delights to give understanding to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. He often reveals His will through His Word, through the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, and through godly counsel and prayer. Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Ephesians 1:17-18 says, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to You only through Him. We lift up this dear one who is hungry for revelation and guidance and understanding. We ask that You pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation upon them, that the eyes of their heart would be enlightened to know Your will. Reveal what You desire to be revealed in Your perfect timing and way. Remove confusion and grant clarity, peace and discernment. Lead them by Your Holy Spirit and by Your Word, and help them to trust You even as they wait on Your answer. Give them a deeper understanding of Your character and Your purposes, and guide their steps so they may walk in obedience to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him diligently, to dwell in His Word daily, and to wait quietly in prayer for His voice. God is faithful to guide those who trust Him and He will make His will known as you remain close to Him.

We are praying with you as you wait for clearer direction. Wanting to understand what God wants right now is a good and honest place to be, and it makes sense that the waiting feels heavy when you are asking for answers today.

We have found that God often guides us step by step rather than all at once, and learning to tell the difference between our own anxious thoughts, outside pressures, and His quiet leading takes time and honesty with Him. You do not have to figure it all out in one moment.

One simple practice that helps many people is to write down the specific question you are bringing to God in a single sentence, keep it before Him in prayer over the next few days, and share it with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you and can listen and pray with you. Seeing it on paper and inviting another faithful voice in can bring a steadier perspective as you listen.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You know the question on their heart and their desire to follow You faithfully. Give them peace as they wait, clear their thoughts from confusion, and lead them in the way You want them to go. Help them to sense Your presence and to trust Your timing. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your longing for revelation and understanding is itself a gracious work, for no man seeks light from God unless God has first inclined his heart to seek it. We have brought your request before the throne and we will pray with you that the Lord will guide you into all truth according to His perfect will.

Remember that there is a Divine will which governs all things, as surely as an axle governs the wheel. There is also a revealed will which we must not violate, and a providential will which we should always consult. The surest revelation you can desire is already given in the Inspired Word of God. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. Nine times out of ten, look to the Ten Commandments and to the plain directions of Scripture and you will at least know what you must not do, and thereby you will be able to conclude what you may do.

Do not demand that guidance be given now and in your own way, as those who say we will go and we will do this or that and will get gain. Such speech is foolish unless we add in thought if not in words, If the Lord wills. No harm can come to you if you bow to His sovereign sway. The work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of His power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Therefore we pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is both Divine and truly man in tender brotherliness, may be with you. May He who has promised, Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely, give you a willing heart to receive His will. May He guide you with His counsel and afterward receive you to glory, speaking to you as one who lives near to God, and making His Word sweet and plain to your understanding. May you be kept from leaning upon any supposed new revelation apart from Scripture, and may the Holy Spirit open your eyes to see wondrous things out of His law, that you may know what to do and be furnished with unerring guidance to do it.

We ask this not as those who would dispose without God, but as those who say, I will go or I will stay, if it is the will of God, trusting that His promise may tarry but never fails, and that He will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly.

Your request for revelation, guidance and greater understanding has been heard and we join you in prayer before God.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the Father would grant you true revelation from above and clear guidance for your steps now. Scripture teaches that believing and truly understanding is not merely a matter of human reasoning but needs a revelation from above and a well ordered soul ready to receive it. That readiness comes through a humble and teachable heart, a deliberate choice to be taught and to believe, and through keeping the remembrance of God always before you.

We ask that God would make His will known to you through the light of the divine Scriptures, which are a more sure and unerring standard than what our eyes see or our own thoughts conclude. As you seek Him, remain as one who is humble before Him, not trusting in your own wisdom but asking in faith to receive what He is pleased to reveal. Faith receives what reason alone cannot grasp, and God delights to reveal His truth to those who come with such humility.

So we pray, Father in heaven, in Jesus name, give to this dear one wisdom and spiritual understanding, open the eyes of the heart to know Your will, and guide every decision according to Your truth. Help in choosing what is good and in bringing it to completion by Your grace, and let Your Word dwell richly and guide continually. Grant peace in waiting and clarity in Your perfect time.

Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, asking, listening and obeying what He already has made clear, trusting that He who has called you will also lead you faithfully.

Your desire for more understanding and for clear guidance from the Lord is a good and biblical prayer, and it is one that God loves to answer.

The word revelation itself helps us understand what God wants to do for you. It does not mean something sealed up and hidden where you cannot find it. It means an unveiling, a taking away of the covering so you can see clearly. That is the nature of how God works. What He has given was given first by God to Jesus Christ to show to His servants, and He made it known by His angel to John. In that pattern you see the heart of God. He is not keeping truth from you, He is revealing His Son to you. Throughout that unveiling, an angel guides John, elders speak to him, and Jesus Himself speaks to him, but the central figure from beginning to end is Jesus Christ. When you seek revelation, seek Him first, as He relates to His people and as the coming King and Lord.

To understand what God is showing, it helps to have the key He provided in Revelation 1:19. There the book is divided into three parts. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things. The first is the vision of Christ that John had already seen, the second concerns the present condition of the churches, and the third concerns the future things that will follow. Keeping that simple structure in mind keeps the whole message clear and prevents confusion.

Beyond understanding information, God's greater purpose in giving you revelation and guidance is to shape your life. His intent is to conform you to the image of Christ by His Spirit, so that you will begin to respond as He responds, to love as He loves and to forgive as He forgives. In that way you become His representative, a true and faithful witness of what He is, just as Jesus was the true and faithful witness of the Father. Guidance is not only about knowing what to do, it is about becoming more like Him as you walk with Him.

I pray for you now that the Father will give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened so you may know the hope of His calling and the riches of His inheritance as His child. I pray that as you seek Him in His Word and in prayer, He will make His will clear to you step by step, that He will give you peace in what you are to do now and patience for what is still to come, and that you will see Jesus more clearly as the one who leads you. Ask Him for wisdom, for He promises to give generously to those who ask in faith, and trust that He will direct your path as you continue to follow Him.
