Revelation about something specific

Your request for revelation and guidance has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord in Jesus name.

It is good that you ask for understanding, for true wisdom does not come from our own mind or effort alone. As Scripture teaches, the natural mind cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, and it is the Spirit who reveals the deep things of God. Our own understanding is small and limited, but the grace of the Spirit is able to make even the simple wise.

I pray for you now that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. May He lift and strengthen your understanding so that you can perceive what is hidden and see clearly the path He has for you. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He alone knows all things and gives wisdom generously to those who ask in faith.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask that You grant this dear one the revelation and guidance that is needed right now. Open the eyes of understanding, quiet every confusion, and lead by Your Spirit into all truth. Give clarity where there is uncertainty, peace where there is questioning, and confidence to walk in Your will. Help this one to be rooted in Your Word, to seek You with a sincere heart, and to trust that You foreordained Your wisdom for our good and glory. Grant not only knowledge, but the love and obedience that makes wisdom fruitful.

Continue to seek Him in prayer and in Scripture, asking with a heart that desires to do His will. He is faithful to guide those who look to Him, and He will make His way known in His perfect time.

Your request for revelation and for more understanding is precious to God, and it is good to bring it to Him directly in the name of Jesus.

The word that we translate as revelation literally means an unveiling. It is the taking away of a covering so that something can be clearly seen. From the very first verse of the book of Revelation we are told that it is the unveiling of Jesus Christ, given by God to show His servants what He wants them to know. A common idea is that this kind of truth is sealed or hidden and cannot be understood, but Scripture presents the opposite. God is a God who unveils. He sent His message through Jesus to His servant John by a messenger, and at times elders also explained what John was seeing, so that what had been hidden would be made known.

That helps us understand how God gives guidance to you now. True revelation centers on Jesus Himself. To know Him more clearly is the heart of all understanding. The key given in Revelation 1:19 shows that God reveals truth in an orderly way, things that have been seen, things that are, and things that will be after these things. He does not leave His children in confusion. He gives His Spirit to bring wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord, and quick understanding, as Isaiah describes the work of the Spirit in the life of Christ. Paul prayed that same prayer for believers in Ephesus, that God would give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that they might know the hope of His calling and the riches of His inheritance.

So I am praying for you in Jesus name, that the Father will give you that Spirit of wisdom and understanding now. That He will unveil Jesus more clearly to you, open your eyes to His Word, and make His will and His ways known to you. That He will grant you counsel for decisions, strength to walk in what He shows you, and a reverent heart that desires to please Him above all. If you lack wisdom, Scripture says to ask God who gives generously, and He will give it.

Continue to seek Him in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to make Christ known and to guide your steps. He delights to show His servants what they need to know, and as you look to Jesus, He will give you the understanding you need in His perfect way and timing.
