We join with you in seeking the Lord for clear revelation and guidance and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that we are heard.
We love that your heart is hungry for more understanding, because God delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him. James 1:5 reminds us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in Yahweh with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, and in all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. Jeremiah 33:3 gives us a beautiful promise to call to Him and He will answer and show us great and difficult things which we do not know. And Daniel 2:22 declares that He reveals the deep and secret things and knows what is in the darkness and the light dwells with Him.
We understand the desire for an answer right now, and we encourage you to continue to seek Him both in prayer and in His Word, for His Spirit guides us into all truth as Jesus promised in John 16:13, and His Word itself brings light. Psalm 119:18 prays open my eyes that I may see wondrous things out of your law, and Psalm 32:8 assures us I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go, I will counsel you with my eye on you. We also hold onto Ephesians 1:17-18 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your heart enlightened.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is seeking revelation and guidance. Lord, You know the specific matter on their heart even when details are not fully expressed, for nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You pour out wisdom and understanding liberally, that You quiet every distraction and make Your voice clear. Illuminate Your Word to them, open the eyes of their heart, and reveal Your will and Your ways concerning this situation. Lead them step by step, confirm Your direction through Your Word and by Your Spirit, and grant peace that passes understanding as they wait on You. Help them to trust Your timing, to walk by faith and not by sight, and to rest in knowing that You are faithful to guide those who seek You with a sincere heart. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and our mediator, amen.
We encourage you to stay close to the Lord in this season, to spend time daily in Scripture, to pray and listen in stillness, and to test what you sense against the truth of the Bible, for God never contradicts His Word. Your request for revelation and for more understanding is one which the Lord delights to answer, for Divine Wisdom dressed in robes of love and tenderness invites us to run into her arms.
Know this, that the wisdom you seek must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. There is not much wisdom in man's own judgment of the things of God, but the Lord has written to us His divine message in the rugged grandeur and sublime simplicity of language which even a child can comprehend. As it is written, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. This understanding is a free grace gift from the hand of our Lord. Had He withheld it, we would never have found the Saviour, but grace comes and enlightens the understanding, influences the will, and changes the affections.
The Lord guides His people with His counsel, and afterward will receive them to glory. He does this in part by infusing great principles in every man who takes God for his guide, and among them this, avoid everything that is evil. Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Remember also that holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity, and that haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Therefore do not be hasty to demand a sign or a sudden voice, but wait upon the Lord with a attentive ear and an understanding heart. Take heed what you hear, and continue in the Word, for it cannot become a sanctifying word to any except as far as they receive it into the understanding.

O Lord, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You shall make us to know wisdom. Look upon this seeking soul who asks for light. Grant not a fancied revelation of man, but true light from Your Word and Spirit. Give an understanding heart to know You and the height and depth of Your precious love through Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone salvation comes. Guide with Your counsel, keep from all evil, and lead in holiness and submission to Your perfect will. Grant patience to wait for Your timing and clarity to walk in the path You make plain. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the heart of the eternal purpose and the climax of all revelation. Amen.

Your longing for revelation and clearer understanding is good, and God delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him. I join you now in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, give to this dear one a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of understanding, that what is hidden may be made clear by Your Spirit. For the natural mind cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, but Your Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God, and reveals them to us. Grant guidance now, not a wisdom of this world which passes away and cannot profit the soul, but Your wisdom in truth, which leads to life.
We ask this through Jesus Christ alone, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and through whom we have access to You. There is no other name by which we are saved and heard, and we come only by Him.
As you wait on the Lord for this guidance, continue to seek Him where He has promised to be found. Give yourself to prayer and to Scripture with a sincere heart, for acquaintance with Scripture and sound doctrine is the food of wisdom. Cast out deceit and every wickedness from the heart, and walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. Virtue and holiness make the soul ready to receive understanding, while trusting only in our own reasoning leaves us in folly. God gives full assurance of understanding to those who are knit together in love and faith, not merely through arguments, but through the Spirit.
Do not be discouraged if the answer is not at once as you expect. He who made the ages knows the right time to reveal what you need to know, and He will not waste His grace. Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, trusting that He who raised Christ from the dead is able by that same power to draw you to Himself and to make His will plain to you.

Your desire for revelation and understanding is something God delights to answer, and it is good that you have asked for prayer in the name of Jesus.
The very word that is translated revelation means an unveiling, a lifting of a covering so that something can be seen clearly. Scripture introduces itself that way in Revelation 1:1, as the unveiling of Jesus Christ which God gave Him to show His servants. It is not a sealed book that cannot be understood. It was given to make Christ known, sent by His messenger to John who faithfully recorded what he saw and heard. At times others also help explain what John was seeing, but the whole purpose is to reveal Jesus.
Understanding comes as we keep that center in view. The key given in Revelation 1:19 helps to keep the whole picture clear, to write the things that were seen, the things that are, and the things that will take place after these things. When we look for Jesus Himself in what God shows us, the details find their proper place.
For your own need for guidance right now, the prayer of Scripture is that God would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened to know His hope and His calling. That work of the Spirit brings wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, reverence for the Lord, and quick understanding in the life of Christ, and He desires to work that in you as well.
So I pray for you in Jesus name that the Father would give you that spirit of wisdom and understanding now. May He unveil Jesus more clearly to you, make His will known to you, and give you clear direction for the specific matter on your heart.
