We join you in asking our Father for revelation and guidance and greater understanding right now, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.
We know the Lord delights to give wisdom to His children when we ask with a sincere heart. His Word assures us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We are also reminded to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. And He invites us, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this seeking heart before You. We ask that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, having the eyes of the heart enlightened. Ephesians 1:17-18. Lord, open eyes to see wondrous things out of Your law. Psalm 119:18. Guide by Your Holy Spirit into all truth, for You have promised when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. John 16:13. Grant clear understanding, remove confusion, and make Your will known in a way that is unmistakable and brings peace. Help to wait patiently on Your timing and to stay rooted in Your Word, for You have said I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily through prayer and through reading Scripture, for it is there He most clearly reveals Himself and His will. Be still before Him, trust His faithfulness, and believe that as you seek with all your heart you will find Him. We are praying that revelation and understanding will be given to you now according to His perfect wisdom and timing, and that you will have peace and clarity to walk in the path He has prepared.

It is a good and needful prayer you have offered, to ask the Lord for wisdom and understanding and to be guided by His will. The Scriptures teach us that the heart which truly seeks is already being drawn by grace, for salvation and all spiritual light are of God's will, and the work of the Spirit is to change the human will and make men willing in the day of God's power.
You ask that revelation and guidance be given to you now. Know then where that light is to be found. Believe this Book from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. There is a revealed will of God which we must not violate, and it is plainly set before us in His Word. There is also a providential will of God which we should always consult, as He orders our circumstances and opens and shuts doors according to His wise plan. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's purpose, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains.
Therefore continue to pray, and pray earnestly, for God has said, Ask and you shall receive. Yet pray also with holy resignation after your Saviour's perfect model in the garden, Nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt. You do not know what God's will is in every particular of the future, and it is foolish for any man to say, I will go and do this or that, as if he could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. Rather say, and feel in your heart, If the Lord will, I will do this or that. In this you will find three firm grounds of confidence, God's sovereignty, Christ's sacrifice, and God's immutability, for He abides the same forever.
If you would have more understanding, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and give yourself to His Word and to prayer. A prayer will reach Him, a wish will find Him, a groan will pierce His heart. Trust not in sudden notions or fancies apart from Scripture, but ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what is already written, and to make His way plain to you step by step.
Let us pray together for you now. O Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son that Thou wouldst grant to this seeking soul a clear sight of Thy will. Give understanding of Thy Word, make the heart willing to obey what Thou hast revealed, and order the steps by Thy providence. Grant wisdom liberally to them that ask in faith, keep them from fainting, and cause them to see Thy goodness even now and here. Let Thy grace be with them, and lead them to rest not in seeking only, but in finding Christ, in whom are hid all treasures of wisdom. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request for revelation and guidance has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord, giving thanks that you desire to understand His will and to walk in His truth.
That desire itself is good, for true understanding does not come from ourselves. Our eyes and our own reasoning are often deceived by distance, by cares, by anger and by many other things, but God has given us a more sure and unerring standard in the light of the divine Scriptures, and He gives wisdom by His Spirit to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. Revelation is not a matter of human friendship or human ingenuity, but is from above, taught by Christ Himself. As He once suddenly called Paul when he was still in opposition, and opened his eyes to the truth, so He is able to open our understanding, not to satisfy curiosity, but to make us know Him and to live according to His will.
Therefore seek Him in the way He has appointed. Come with prayer, with humility, and with the Scriptures before you. Ask not only to see with the eyes of the body, but to see spiritually, with the eyes within, looking beyond what is merely in front of you to the mysteries of His grace. What is spiritual must be understood spiritually, and this requires the Spirit and a mind made wise in the knowledge of Him. Be patient and trust His timing, for even Paul who received great revelations grew in understanding over many years, and God in His wisdom reveals what we need as we are ready to receive it and to obey it.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, I lift up this dear soul to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your presence. Grant clarity where there is confusion, and wisdom where understanding is lacking. By Your Holy Spirit, open the mind to comprehend Your Word, and guide every step according to Your perfect will. Lead away from mere human thoughts and from carnal hearing, and give a spiritual understanding that bears fruit in obedience, holiness and peace. Make Your way plain, and give grace to follow it faithfully. All this I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your hunger for revelation and guidance is something God Himself wants to answer, and He delights when His children ask for understanding.
The word revelation itself means an unveiling, not a sealing up. It is God taking the wraps off to show you what was hidden. Scripture says it is the revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave to show His servants what must take place, and He sent it by His angel to His servant John. At times an angel guided John, at other times elders spoke to him, and at other times Jesus Himself spoke, but throughout the whole unveiling the central character is Jesus. You see Him as He walks among His people, and you see Him as the coming King of kings and Lord of lords.
That is important for your request, because true guidance does not come first as a list of instructions, but as a clearer sight of Christ Himself. God's intent for your life is to conform you to the image of Christ by His Spirit, so that you begin to respond as He responds, to love as He loves and to forgive as He forgives, and to be His representative and faithful witness of what He is, just as He was the faithful witness of the Father.
There is a simple key that helps bring understanding when God unveils His truth. It is given in Revelation 1:19, write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will be after these things. Keeping that order in mind helps keep the whole picture clear, rather than confusing what God has already shown with what He is doing now and what He will do in the future.
So I pray for you in Jesus name that the Father would give you the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the riches of His inheritance as His child. Ask Him not only to show you what to do, but to show you more of His Son, for as you behold Christ, His will becomes clearer and His guidance comes with peace.
