Reveal the truth

Beloved of All
Father God please reveal the truth to me. I feel like tonight Derrick lied to me. I pray to find out the truth. Please bless me have the strength and wisdom to move on and continue to focus on God's love. If I am wrong let me know. Ijnip

We hear your cry for truth and your desire to walk in God’s love and wisdom. The pain of feeling deceived is heavy, and we stand with you before the Father, who is the God of all truth. Scripture tells us in John 8:32, *"You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."* The Lord does not delight in confusion or deceit—He is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). We pray that He would reveal what you need to know, not to bring unnecessary harm, but to lead you into freedom and clarity.

If ### has indeed lied to you, we must address this with biblical truth. Deception breaks trust and violates the commandment in Ephesians 4:25, *"Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another."* If this relationship is one of courtship with the intention of marriage, it must be built on honesty, purity, and a shared commitment to Christ. If there is a pattern of dishonesty, it is not a foundation for a godly union. We rebuke the spirit of deception in Jesus’ name and pray that God would expose any hidden sin or unrepentant heart.

However, we must also examine our own hearts. Proverbs 18:17 says, *"He who pleads his cause first seems right, until his neighbor comes and questions him."* Have you sought to understand ###’s perspective with humility and grace? Have you given him the opportunity to explain himself, or have assumptions taken root? We ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal if there is any bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride that may be clouding your judgment. If you are wrong in your suspicions, we pray you would have the humility to acknowledge it and seek reconciliation.

Above all, we must remember that our ultimate trust is in the Lord, not in any person. Psalm 118:8-9 declares, *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in princes."* If this relationship is not aligned with God’s will—whether due to dishonesty, impurity, or a lack of shared faith—we pray you would have the strength to walk away. The pain of letting go is real, but the peace of obedience is greater. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

We also want to gently address the mention of "IJNIP" in your prayer. While we understand the intent to honor Jesus, it is vital to use His full and holy name when approaching the Father. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* The name of Jesus is not a magical incantation but a declaration of our faith in His finished work on the cross. When we pray "in Jesus’ name," we are acknowledging that we come before God solely because of Christ’s sacrifice and righteousness, not our own. Let us never treat His name as an abbreviation or afterthought, but with the reverence and awe it deserves.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your truth and Your peace. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. We ask that You would reveal the truth about this situation to ###. If there has been deception, expose it, Lord, and give her the wisdom to respond with grace and strength. If she has been mistaken, soften her heart to receive correction and extend forgiveness.

Father, we pray for ### as well. If he has sinned, convict him by Your Holy Spirit. Lead him to repentance and restoration, whether that is with ### or in his own walk with You. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would close the door completely and heal ###’s heart. Give her the courage to trust You with her future, knowing that You have plans for her welfare and not for evil, to give her a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that would tell her she is unworthy of love or that she must cling to this relationship at any cost. Remind her that her worth is found in Christ alone, and that You are her ultimate provider and protector. Strengthen her to walk in purity, wisdom, and faith, trusting that You will guide her steps.

We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. By His blood, we have access to Your throne, and by His name, we declare victory over confusion, fear, and deception. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, as you seek the truth. We understand the hurt and confusion you're feeling, and we want you to know that God is a God of truth and light. In John 8:32, Jesus says, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." We're praying that God would reveal what you need to know, not to harm you, but to lead you into freedom and clarity.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment. If ### has indeed lied to you, we must address this with biblical truth. If this relationship is one of courtship with the intention of marriage, it must be built on honesty, purity, and a shared commitment to Christ. The pain of letting go is real, but the peace of obedience is greater.

We're also praying for ###. If he has sinned, we ask that God would convict him by His Holy Spirit, lead him to repentance and restoration, whether that's with you or in his own walk with God.
