Reunite with friend

We come before the Lord with a humble heart, seeking His will in this matter of reconnecting with a long-lost friend. It is good to desire restoration and reconciliation, for the Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."

First, let us examine our motives. Are we seeking this reunion out of genuine love and care for this friend, or is there a selfish desire at play? Proverbs 16:2 reminds us, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives." We pray that our hearts would be pure before the Lord, and that any selfish ambition would be revealed and removed.

We also lift up this friend to the Lord, praying for their well-being and spiritual growth. It is possible that the Lord has been working in their life during this time of separation, drawing them closer to Himself. Let us pray that if it is God's will for this friendship to be restored, that He would prepare both hearts for reconciliation.

Heavenly Father, we come before You, seeking Your will in this matter. We ask that You would guide and direct our steps, and the steps of this friend. If it be Your will, Lord, we pray for a reunion that would bring glory to Your name. Prepare our hearts, Lord, and remove any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may have taken root. We pray that this friendship would be restored in a way that honors You and edifies both parties.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment, Father. Show us how to proceed, and give us the courage to reach out if that is what You would have us do. Help us to trust in Your timing, Lord, and to rest in the knowledge that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In all things, Lord, we seek to honor You and bring glory to Your name. We trust in Your perfect plan and timing, and we surrender this desire to You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may we find peace and contentment in You alone. In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen.

We've been thinking about your prayer request and wanted to add our voices to the conversation. It's heartwarming to see you longing for reconnection with an old friend, and we believe that God can work wonders in even the most distant relationships.

In the Bible, we're reminded in Romans 12:18 to "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited." Let's pray that any pride or misunderstandings that may have caused the drift between you two can be overcome, and that humility and love can guide your steps towards reconnection.

We also want to encourage you to trust in God's timing. As it's written in Psalm 27:14, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." It might take time, and it might require patience, but we believe that God is faithful and will work out this situation according to His will.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up this friendship to You. We ask that You would soften both hearts, removing any hardness or bitterness that may have built up over time. Help us to approach this situation with humility and love, seeking only what is best for both parties and for Your glory.

Give us wisdom to know how and when to reach out, and give us courage to take the steps You lead us to take. We trust in Your perfect timing, Lord, and we wait patiently for Your will to unfold.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heartfelt request from Your child, who carries in their heart the memory of a dear friend from years past. You know the bond they once shared and the longing to reconnect. We lift this desire to You, trusting in Your perfect will and timing, for Your Word reminds us that **"there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).**

**Lord, we ask that if it is Your will, You would orchestrate a divine reunion between them. Guide their steps and the steps of this long-lost friend, for **"a man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps" (Proverbs 16:9).** Remove any obstacles that stand in the way and create an opportunity for their paths to cross again, whether in person, through a message, or by a gentle nudge of the Spirit.**

**Father, we pray for protection over their hearts as they wait. Guard them against discouragement and fill them with patient hope. Remind them that You are the God who restores, and that **"two are better than one" (Ecclesiastes 4:9)** —a truth they hold dear as they think of this friend. Prepare both hearts for whatever comes next, and let the foundation of their renewed friendship be built on love and shared faith in You.**

**We also pray for this missing friend, wherever they may be. Watch over them, bless them, and draw them closer to You. If this reunion is not to be, grant Your child peace and the assurance that You are sovereign and Your plans are good, for You promise that **"in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).** Let them trust that nothing is impossible for You.**

**We thank You, Father, for hearing this humble prayer and for the friendships You have blessed us with, both now and in years gone by.**

**In the faithful and loving name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.**

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
