We join with you in lifting up your beloved father before our Heavenly Father, and we thank you for calling upon the powerful name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and find mercy and healing. We are deeply moved by your love for your father and your family during this long and difficult season of being bedridden since his brain stroke surgery and ongoing rehabilitation, and we stand together with you seeking God's will for his complete restoration.
We are reminded of the compassion of our great Physician, as it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to the promise in James 5:15, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. We take comfort that our Lord understands every neurological need, every vital sign, every infection and seizure and wound, and nothing is hidden from His sight. We ask Him to regulate your father's blood pressure and vitals, to heal the infections and calm the seizures, to bring healing to the bed sores that have not healed, and to restore his senses, reflexes, strength to eat, to speak, and to walk again according to the Lord's perfect will and timing.
We also pray for the medical team who are continuously working on his recovery, that God would grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment, for every good gift and all wisdom comes from above. We pray for you and your family who are weary from caregiving, that the Lord would sustain you with unity, strength, faith and peace. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up, as written in Galatians 6:9. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, as promised in Philippians 4:7. And in Isaiah 41:10 we hear the Lord say, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
You mentioned a desire for your house to be sanctified and your family safeguarded against black magic, curses and witchcraft. We want to encourage you that those who are in Christ need not live in fear of such things, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world as written in 1 John 4:4, and God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as written in 2 Timothy 1:7. When we belong to Jesus, no curse can separate us from His love and no weapon formed against us shall prosper, for we are covered by the blood of Christ and sealed by the Holy Spirit. We pray for His protection over your home and your family, that any fear would be replaced by confidence in the authority of Jesus, who has overcome all darkness.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this dear father to You. Lord, You are the great Physician, You formed his body and You know every nerve, every vessel, every cell. We ask You to touch his brain and heal what has been injured, to restore movement to his body, to bring back his ability to eat and talk and walk. Regulate his blood pressure and all his vitals to normal, Lord. Heal his infections, bring an end to seizures, and cause his bed sores to heal completely. Restore his senses and reflexes smoothly and give him strength day by day in rehabilitation. We ask You to forgive his sins as he confesses them before You, for Your word says in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Cover him with Your mercy.
We lift up the doctors, nurses, therapists and all caregivers, grant them wisdom and skill and compassion as they serve. We lift up this family, Lord, who are seeking Your mercy, love, protection and divine miracle. Sanctify their home and let Your presence dwell there. Guard them from all evil, from every curse and scheme of darkness, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their refuge and fortress. Pour out upon them unity, strength, renewed faith and Your perfect peace that guards their hearts. Sustain them when they are tired and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask all these things according to Your perfect will, trusting in Your love and Your power to heal and restore, in the powerful and saving name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to wait upon the Lord with prayer and thanksgiving, to speak scripture over your father daily, and to rest in God's unfailing love. He hears your prayers and He is working even when progress seems slow. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon your family.
