We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear father who has been bedridden for so many years following a stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed us in our mothers’ wombs and knows every fiber of our being. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We ask You to touch this beloved man with Your healing hand, restoring movement, speech, and strength. Lord, regulate his blood pressure, steady his vitals, and bring healing to his nervous system. May his body respond to rehabilitation as You guide the hands and minds of the medical team caring for him.
We also bring before You the spiritual concerns raised in this request. Father, we know that sickness and suffering entered the world because of sin, but we also know that You are sovereign over all things. We pray that You would forgive any sins in this father’s life, as we all fall short and need Your mercy. We rebuke the mention of black magic, curses, and witchcraft, for we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask You to surround them with Your hedge of protection. There is no power in darkness that can stand against the name of Jesus Christ.
We also ask for unity and peace to reign in this family’s home. May they lean on one another in love, patience, and kindness, bearing one another’s burdens as You command in Galatians 6:2. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May this family experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
