We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been bedridden following a stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed us in our mother’s womb and knows every fiber of our being. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved individual. Where neurons have been damaged, we pray for restoration and regeneration. Where pathways in the brain have been disrupted, we ask for divine rewiring and reconnection. Lord, bring back movement to limbs that have been stilled, strength to muscles that have weakened, and coordination to actions that once were effortless.
We declare over this situation that by Your stripes, healing is provided. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We stand on this promise, believing that complete healing is not only possible but promised through the finished work of Christ. We pray for the regulation of blood pressure and all vital signs, that they would stabilize according to Your perfect design. May this dear one regain the ability to eat, speak, and walk independently, just as before. Restore senses, reflexes, and all bodily functions that have been affected.
We also lift up the medical team attending to this situation. Father, grant them wisdom beyond their training, skill beyond their experience, and compassion that reflects Your heart. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments, that they may be instruments of Your healing power. We pray against infections, seizures, and bed sores, asking that these complications would be resolved and prevented by Your divine intervention.
Lord, we also bring before You the spiritual condition of this dear one. We ask for the forgiveness of sins, knowing that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). May this time of trial draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and trust in Your goodness. We pray for the family as well, who are carrying the weight of this burden. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are with them in every moment of this journey.
We also address the concern raised about black magic, curses, and witchcraft. Scripture is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this family and this household in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray a hedge of protection around this home, that no evil may enter, and that the blood of Jesus would cover and cleanse every area of their lives. We command every curse, spell, or work of darkness to be broken and rendered powerless in Jesus’ name.
Heavenly Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that Your plans for this dear one are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether You choose to heal instantly or to work through the process of rehabilitation, we ask for Your grace to sustain them and their family every step of the way.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on behalf of this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
