We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this beloved brother who has been bedridden following a stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies in the womb and knows every intricate detail of our being. We declare Your Word over this situation: "Heal me, Yahweh, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14). Lord, we ask for complete restoration—mind, body, and spirit—for this precious child of Yours.
We pray specifically for the healing of neuro pathways, that every damaged connection would be renewed and restored by Your mighty power. May his speech return clearly, his limbs regain strength and coordination, and his senses be sharpened once more. We ask that You would regulate his blood pressure and all vital signs, bringing them into perfect balance according to Your design. Father, we know that "by Your stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now over this dear one.
Lord, we also lift up the medical team caring for him. Grant them divine wisdom, skill, and compassion as they work toward his recovery. Protect him from infections, seizures, and complications like bed sores, and strengthen his body to fight against these challenges. We ask for supernatural strength for him to eat, speak, and move independently again, just as he did before. May Your healing touch be evident in every area of his life.
We also bring before You the spiritual concerns raised in this prayer. Father, we rebuke any influence of black magic, curses, or witchcraft that may be seeking to bind this family or hinder this brother’s recovery. The Bible is clear: "No curse can come to rest on you" (Proverbs 26:2). We stand on Your promise that "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We declare that this home is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every evil spirit and command it to flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing over this brother’s life. If there are any unconfessed sins or areas where he has strayed from Your will, we pray that You would reveal them to him and lead him to repentance. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let Your mercy wash over him and his family, bringing peace, hope, and renewed faith.
We pray for the family as well—grant them endurance, patience, and unwavering trust in You. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, comforting them, and giving them strength for each day. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they can trust (Psalm 91:2). Let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another.
Above all, we pray that this brother would come to know You more deeply through this season. If he has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. There is no healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual—apart from the name of Jesus. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May he experience the fullness of life that comes only through Christ.
Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. Whether You choose to heal him instantly or work through the process of rehabilitation, we know that You are good and Your plans for him are for good, not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask for a miracle, Father, but we also surrender to Your will, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
