We lift up this dear one who has been bedridden following a stroke, and we join with you in crying out to the Great Physician, the Lord our Healer. Father, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is possible (Isaiah 53:5), and we ask You to move mightily in this situation. Restore movement, speech, and strength to this beloved one. Regulate blood pressure and all vital signs according to Your perfect design. Heal infections, prevent seizures, and bring comfort to every sore and affliction.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and skill for the medical team attending to ###. May they be guided by Your hand as they work toward his recovery. We pray for the family as well—they carry a heavy burden, and we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in faith, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways.
We rebuke any fear or doubt that may be lingering in their hearts, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We also take authority over any spiritual attacks, including any mention of black magic, curses, or witchcraft. The Bible is clear that these things have no power over those who belong to Christ (Galatians 3:13). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every evil influence in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, we also ask for forgiveness of sins—not because this suffering is a direct result of sin, but because we know that sin separates us from Your perfect will. If there is anything in this dear one’s life that needs confession and repentance, we pray that You would bring it to light and grant him the grace to turn to You. For it is written, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when they are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). May this family continue to seek You, not just for healing, but for a deeper relationship with You. Let them experience Your love in fresh ways as they walk through this trial.
We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to the throne of grace, and it is by His authority that we make these requests. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.
