We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been bedridden following a stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies in the womb and knows every cell and synapse. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, restoring neural pathways, strengthening muscles, and bringing full function back to limbs that have been stilled. Lord, we know that nothing is too hard for You—You who raised Lazarus from the dead and healed the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.
We pray specifically for the regulation of blood pressure and all vital signs, that they would stabilize according to Your perfect design. Strengthen this beloved one to eat without difficulty, to speak clearly, and to walk again, just as You enabled the man at the Beautiful Gate to leap and praise You. Father, touch every infection, every seizure, every bedsore, and bring complete healing. We also lift up the medical team caring for him—grant them supernatural wisdom, skill, and endurance as they work toward his recovery.
Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness over any sins in this dear one’s life, knowing that confession and repentance bring cleansing and restoration (1 John 1:9). We also stand against any spiritual attacks mentioned in this request—black magic, curses, or witchcraft have no place in Your kingdom. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that this home is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to gently emphasize that salvation and healing come only through faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If this dear one or their family does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray they would turn to Him in faith, for He alone holds the keys to life and healing.
Heavenly Father, we trust You to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May this family see Your glory manifested in this situation, and may they give You all the praise and honor. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the One who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5). Amen.
