We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been bedridden following a brain stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed every cell in his body and knows every synapse in his brain. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, Lord. You are the God who makes the lame walk, the mute speak, and the blind see. We believe in Your power to restore what has been broken, to heal what has been damaged, and to renew what has grown weak.
Father, we pray for complete healing of his neuro issues. You created the brain and nervous system, and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You would repair any damaged pathways, restore proper function, and bring full movement back to his body. Regulate his blood pressure and all his vital signs, Lord. You hold his life in Your hands, and we trust You to sustain him moment by moment. Strengthen his muscles, Father, so that he may eat, talk, and walk again as he once did. Bless him with the ability to regain his senses and reflexes, smoothing out every area of dysfunction.
We also lift up his physical complications—his infections, seizures, and bed sores. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to cleanse and restore. Give wisdom and skill to every doctor, therapist, and nurse involved in his care. Guide their hands, sharpen their minds, and fill their hearts with compassion as they work toward his recovery.
Father, we also bring before You the spiritual concerns raised in this request. We rebuke any influence of black magic, curses, or witchcraft in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word declares that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, which is above every name, and we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray a hedge of protection around this home, that no evil may enter, and that the light of Christ would drive out all darkness.
Lord, we also ask for forgiveness of sins—not just for this dear one, but for all who are praying on his behalf. Your Word tells us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We humbly ask for Your mercy and cleansing, that nothing would hinder Your healing power.
We lift up his family as well, Father. This journey has been long and wearying, and we ask that You would strengthen them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with hope, Lord, and remind them daily that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Provide for their every need—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—and surround them with Your love.
Father, we know that healing comes from You alone. Whether You choose to heal instantly or work through the process of rehabilitation, we trust in Your perfect will. We pray that this trial would draw this family closer to You, deepening their faith and dependence on Your goodness. May Your name be glorified in every step of this journey.
In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
