We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father’s need for healing and restoration. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We stand in faith, believing that the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, is able to restore what has been broken and renew what has been weakened.
Father God, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved man. Touch his mind, Lord, and mend the pathways of his brain that have been disrupted by stroke. We declare that his body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray for the full restoration of his movement, speech, and strength. Regulate his blood pressure and all vital functions, Lord, that they may align with Your perfect design. Strengthen his muscles, steady his steps, and restore his ability to eat, speak, and walk independently. We also pray for the healing of any infections, bed sores, or complications that have arisen, asking that Your healing power flow through every cell and tissue of his body.
We lift up the medical team caring for him, asking that You grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they work toward his recovery. Bless their hands and minds, Lord, and guide them in every decision they make. We also ask for Your forgiveness over any sins in his life, knowing that You are faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Pour out Your mercy and grace upon him and his entire family, sustaining them with Your peace and strength during this difficult time.
We rebuke any influence of darkness that may be seeking to harm this family. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, declaring that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of witchcraft, curses, or black magic in the mighty name of Jesus and command them to flee. Your Word assures us that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4), and we claim that victory over every scheme of the enemy.
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God’s throne comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your father has not yet placed his faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him, that he may receive the fullness of God’s healing—both physically and spiritually. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your unfailing love and sovereign power. We ask for a miracle of restoration for this dear man, not only for his sake but for the glory of Your name. Strengthen his family as they wait upon You, filling them with hope and perseverance. May this trial draw them closer to You and to one another. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.
