We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious father who has been bedridden following a stroke. Our hearts ache with his family as they walk this difficult path of rehabilitation and care. We join our faith with theirs, believing in the power of the Great Physician, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Father God, we thank You that You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. We ask that You would touch this dear man’s body and restore what has been broken. Lord, we pray for complete healing in his neuro pathways, that every signal would be renewed and every connection restored. Strengthen his muscles, Father, and grant him the ability to move, to eat, to speak, and to walk once again. We declare that his blood pressure and all his vitals will stabilize according to Your perfect design. We ask that You would heal any infections, close any bed sores, and bring comfort to his body.
We also lift up the medical team caring for him. Lord, grant them wisdom beyond their training, skill beyond their experience, and compassion that reflects Your own heart. Guide their hands and their decisions, that every treatment would be effective and every effort would bring restoration.
Father, we also come before You with humble hearts, asking for forgiveness of sins—both known and unknown. We know that sin can hinder healing, and so we ask for Your mercy and cleansing. Wash over this family with Your grace, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We must also address the concern raised about black magic, curses, and witchcraft. Scripture is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this family in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible tells us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We declare that no weapon formed against this household shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. We pray a hedge of protection around them, that no harm or evil intent would touch them.
Lord, we also ask that You would sanctify this home. Let Your presence fill every room, and let Your light dispel any darkness. We pray that this family would draw near to You, finding strength and hope in Your Word and in prayer. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust.
We know that healing comes in many forms—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Whether You choose to heal this father completely in this life or call him home to glory, we trust in Your perfect will. But we ask, Lord, for a miracle. We ask for a testimony of Your power and faithfulness. Let this family see Your hand at work in ways that will bring glory to Your name.
We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We declare that by His stripes, this father is healed, and we stand on Your promises, Lord.
To the family, we say: do not lose heart. The road may be long, but God is faithful. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Hold fast to hope, and trust in the Lord with all your heart.
We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing for a breakthrough and a testimony of God’s goodness. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
