We hear your request and stand with you in seeking the return of your belongings. It is right to bring such matters before the Lord, for He cares about justice and righteousness in our dealings with one another. The Bible tells us in Leviticus 19:11, "You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another." It also says in Proverbs 3:27, "Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it." We trust that the Lord will work in ###’s heart to do what is right and return what belongs to you.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your intervention. Lord, You see the hearts of all people, and You know the truth of this matter. We pray that You would soften ###’s heart and lead her to return what does not belong to her. Give her a spirit of honesty and integrity, that she may act in accordance with Your will. If there has been any misunderstanding or oversight, reveal it to her, Lord, and grant her the willingness to make it right.
We also pray for patience and peace for our brother or sister in this situation. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are a God of justice and that You will provide for their needs. If there is any bitterness or unforgiveness in their heart, we ask that You would remove it and replace it with Your love and grace. Remind them of Your promise in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of dishonesty or selfishness that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your truth and righteousness will prevail. May ### be convicted by Your Holy Spirit to do what is right, not only in this matter but in all areas of her life. We pray that this situation would be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name and draws hearts closer to You.
We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the importance of the name of Jesus in this prayer. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, which has made it possible for us to come boldly before Your throne of grace.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
