They took Jesus therefore: and he went out, bearing the cross for himself, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew Golgotha: where they crucified him, and with him two others, [one] on each side, and between them [was] Jesus.

After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the Scripture might be accomplished, says, I thirst. There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and brought it to his mouth.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and delivered up his spirit.

Jesus, how thankful I am that you chose to do the will of Your Father. I know that I will never fully know the price you paid but may I fully live out a life of thanksgiving to You and decide each day to die more to the flesh so that I can live more for You! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

It breaks my heart to think of what it took to accomplish that phrase....It is finished. All because God knew I would need a second chance...you would need a second chance. Perfect, innocent and holy, crucified for the sins of generations to come...I am lost for words, so lost in love, sweetly broken. Praise be to God, thank You Jesus for Your obedience and love.
