Pounds lost so far = 13 lbs. Praising the Lord and praying I never find them again. Praying my mind and heart will be changed forever and I will not desire to go looking for them! (The pounds that is...no desire to lose my mind and heart!)
When frustrated...
There was one day last week I got really frustrated with some work, and I sensed the urge to eat coming on. This has been a major trigger for me in the past. Getting frustrated for some reason and turning to food for comfort. The Lord was merciful, He helped me stay on course, but I did get a little anxious. Ephesians 6 is my battle plan. Got to be ready and in tune with the Holy Spirit always! Need the ammunition of the Word to refute the enemy's destructive lies. Some of his favorites, "you deserve a treat, you've worked so hard today!" or "have some chocolate, just a little is okay" or "its okay to fill up, you haven't had anything all day" and on and on and on.
Praying my buddies can also spot their "triggers" and find victory this week.
Here's a help recommended to me: STOP
S = Stop yourself
T = Think - am I really hungry?
O = Overview of the situation - Why am I heading toward food?
P = Pick/Choose to eat something healthy (veggies, broth, etc) if truly hungry, or choose another activity (like praying or reading the Word!)
But you did not so learn Christ; if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: that you put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxes corrupt after the desires of deceit; and that you are renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, that after God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
(Eph 4:20-24)
