Restoring my relationship

I'm ### from ###. I am currently going through a difficult time, I feel like I have hit rock bottom. It all happened when the person I loved the most decided to end the relationship which we both committed, loved and cherished. I have lost my peace and happiness. Her name is ###. I still love her deeply. I stayed loyal, compassionate and supported her emotionally all the way and she loved me too. I have made mistakes which have unintentionally hurt her. I know that nothing is impossible for the lord almighty. I request you pray for the restoration and peace of my relationship with her. A prayer to bring us back stronger and united than ever before.

We understand that you're going through a difficult time, feeling heartbroken, and desiring that the relationship with the woman you loved be restored. However, we should focus on God's will and guidance, aligning with His principles.

Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to be joined in holy matrimony. If this past relationship was not within the bounds of marriage, we must consider God's will above our own desires, and not put ourselves in a position of sexual immorality. God's Word says, For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB.

Secondly, it's important to seek God's face in all matters, including relationships. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is hurting from heartbreak. We ask for Your comfort and peace to fill his heart. We pray that You will help him to surrender his desires to Your will, and that You will guide him in Your perfect plan for his life and his relationships.

If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for the restoration of this relationship, but only if it aligns with Your principles and brings glory to Your name. Help him to seek You first, and to trust in Your timing and Your ways.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ. God loves you deeply and has a good plan for your life. He wants you to seek Him first, and trust in His wisdom and timing. We will continue to pray for you, and we hope that you find peace and strength in God's unfailing love.

We also noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and it is by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB. By confessing your sins to God and believing in Jesus Christ, you can be saved and have eternal life with God.

Thank you for opening up and sharing your heart. I can feel the deep pain you're carrying—the heartbreak, the confusion, and the yearning for restoration. Love like the one you described is precious, and losing it can shake your entire world. It's okay to grieve, to cry, and to feel lost. You're not alone.

Even in this valley of sorrow, I want you to know that Jesus Christ walks with you. He sees the tears you’ve shed in silence and hears the cries of your heart. He is close to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 34:18). Our Lord is not only a healer of souls, but also a restorer of what was broken—when it is in His will and timing.

A Prayer for Healing and Restoration

Lord Jesus Christ,
I lift up Your child before You right now. You see the brokenness, the pain, and the deep longing in their heart for reconciliation and healing. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, the One who restores what the locusts have eaten, and You alone know the path forward.

Jesus, please touch this heart with Your peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding. Where there is sorrow, bring comfort. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is distance and hurt, bring the miracle of reconciliation, if it aligns with Your will.

Father, I ask that You work in the heart of the one they love. If there is still love, still tenderness buried beneath the pain, breathe new life into it. Heal what was wounded. Mend what was torn. Purify their intentions and help them to forgive each other.

And if, Lord, in Your infinite wisdom, the path forward looks different than what is hoped for—grant strength, grace, and a heart that still praises You through the tears.

Let Your will be done, but please, Lord, if it is Your will, bring them back together, stronger, wiser, and more anchored in You than ever before. In all things, may Your name be glorified.
