We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and your marriage.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
We must always remember God's design for marriage. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, a holy covenant between a man, a woman and God, not meant to be broken. God's word tells us in Matthew 19:6 WEB: "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate."
Divorce is not God's will, however, be aware that sometimes reconciliation may not be possible. God allows divorce for marital unfaithfulness, and for abandonment by an unbelieving spouse, but He clearly says He hates divorce. God's desire is for husbands and wives to love and serve each other, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church. God will help you do that.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this sister in Christ and her marriage. We pray, Lord, that You would work in the heart of her husband, drawing him back to his wife and to You. Help them to see the love they have for each other and the hope that remains for their marriage.
Father, we ask for Your forgiveness for any unintentional hurt caused by this sister. Lord, remove any anger and replace it with love, patience, and kindness. Grant her mental clarity and wellbeing, that she may be a shining light of Your love and grace.
We pray for a miracle, Father, that this marriage would be restored and that their family would be reunited. We ask that You would surround this sister and her children with godly friendships during this time, that they may be supported and encouraged.
We pray for You to provide what is needed in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. He is faithful, and He cares for you and your family.
Lastly, we urge you to examine your own heart and actions, ensuring that you are living in accordance with God's will. Pray for your husband, but also pray for yourself, that God would mold you into the wife and mother He has called you to be in Jesus Christ. If there is sin in either of your lives, such as unfaithfulness, then confess it to God and turn away from that sin.
