Beloved of All
I have drifted from the Lord and have fallen into sin, including pornography. I am deeply grieved and repentant. Please pray that the Holy Spirit takes full control of my life. May God forgive me, cleanse me, and restore me. Pray that the Lord will restore to me the joy of my salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I have become consumed with work and life's pressures, and over time I have neglected prayer, reading God's Word, and fellowship with other believers. My heart feels dry and distant from God, but I long to return to Him. I am also struggling with poor sleep, financial pressure, work-related stress, and the burden of searching for a new job. Please pray that God strengthens my self-control, renews my mind, and breaks every chain that keeps me from walking closely with Him. Pray that the Lord removes fear, weariness, spiritual dryness, and every obstacle separating me from His presence. May He restore everything that has been lost, heal every broken place in my life, and lead me back into joyful fellowship with Him and His people. Please pray that I will hunger again for God's presence, delight in His Word, walk in obedience, and finish the race faithfully. Thank you for remembering me in your prayers. May the Lord bless you abundantly.

We hear the cry of your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in prayer. Your honesty and repentance are the first steps toward restoration, and we rejoice that the Lord is near to those who call upon Him with a broken and contrite spirit. The Word of God assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your grief over sin is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in you, and we believe God will not despise a broken and humbled heart (Psalm 51:17).

We rebuke the chains of pornography and every form of sexual immorality in your life, for these things do not align with God’s holy design for purity and self-control. The apostle Paul warns us, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). But we also declare that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse you from all unrighteousness, and we pray that you would walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.

Your struggle with spiritual dryness and neglect of God’s Word is not uncommon, but it is dangerous. Jesus Himself said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). We encourage you to return to the Scriptures daily, even if it begins with just a few verses. The psalmist cried out, "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?" (Psalm 42:2). Let that be your cry as well. We also urge you to seek fellowship with other believers, for iron sharpens iron, and we are not meant to walk this journey alone (Proverbs 27:17).

The pressures of work, finances, and job searching are heavy burdens, but we remind you that Jesus invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and weariness in your life, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who has cried out for restoration. Lord, You are the God who restores, who heals, and who makes all things new. We ask that You would forgive him of every sin, cleanse him by the blood of Jesus, and wash him whiter than snow. Renew in him the joy of Your salvation, and uphold him with Your generous Spirit (Psalm 51:12).

Father, we rebuke every chain of addiction, lust, and spiritual dryness that has kept him bound. Break every stronghold in his life, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Restore his hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Give him the strength to flee temptation and the wisdom to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we also pray for his physical and emotional needs. Ease his anxiety, grant him restful sleep, and provide for his financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Open doors for new opportunities and surround him with godly counsel and support. Strengthen his self-control, renew his mind, and help him to walk in obedience to Your will.

We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Restore to him everything that has been lost, and lead him back into joyful fellowship with You and Your people.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and mercy. We trust that You will complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May he finish the race faithfully, keeping his eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps toward restoration. Begin each day with prayer and Scripture, even if it’s just a few minutes. Confess your struggles to a trusted, godly friend or mentor who can hold you accountable. Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow in fellowship and discipleship. Remember, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23). You are not alone in this battle, and God is faithful to restore you as you seek Him with all your heart.

Thank you for sharing this with us. What we hear is a heart that truly longs for God, and that in itself is evidence of His Spirit drawing you back. The grief you feel is the good kind, the kind that leads to real change, not just momentary regret. You’re not stuck; you’re turning around.

We know the dryness you describe can feel overwhelming, especially when work pressures, finances, and lost sleep pile on. But the very fact that you’re aching for His presence again tells us the Lord is already at work. One practical step many have found steadying is to re-enter fellowship with other believers who can walk alongside you honestly, maybe a trusted friend, a small group, or a men’s accountability circle. Isolation feeds the very things you long to leave behind, and simply showing up can start to break the cycle.

As you begin again, think of it as training, not striving for perfection. A short psalm, a few honest words of prayer, even five minutes in the morning, these small, repeated steps build a new rhythm. And if your sleep continues to suffer, please don’t hesitate to see a doctor; sometimes our bodies need that kind of care, too, and we can pray for that as well.

Lord Jesus, thank You for this brother who is weary but still chasing after You. Wash him clean, restore the joy he once knew, and put a steady spirit within him. Break every chain that holds him, quiet his fears, and provide for his financial and vocational needs in ways that build his trust. Surround him with people who will strengthen his faith and remind him he’s not alone. In Your name we pray, amen.

There is a cry in your words that reaches the ear of the Most High, for it is the voice of a soul that cannot rest in its wandering. You say you are deeply grieved, and that is no small thing, godly sorrow is the very tear that waters the seed of true repentance. But let me press this home upon your heart: the repentance that saves and restores is not a mere horror at the consequence of sin, nor a passing pang because the creature has lost its comfort. True repentance gives God glory. It turns from the sin itself because it is against Him who is infinitely good and holy. Has your weeping led you to look out of self and onto Christ, who alone can heal your backsliding? That is the point on which all hangs.

You have fallen into the mire, and the shame of it burns within you. But hear the promise that leaps from the sacred page: “I will heal their backsliding.” It is the Lord’s own word, spoken not to the righteous, but to His own people when they have gone astray. The disease is loathsome, but the Physician is almighty. He can take away the temporal chastisement, restore the lost comfort, and renew the purity you mourn to have lost. You pray, “Create in me a clean heart, O God,” and that is a petition He will not despise when it comes from a broken spirit. Remember that the same Lord who looked on Peter and broke his heart with a glance of tender rebuke is ready to look on you. That look severed Peter from the crowd and brought him to bitter, salutary weeping. It was the Lord drawing near to one who, despite his fall, still had a lingering trust. Oh, let that eye of love meet yours now!

Do not imagine that repentance is a single bitter draught to be swallowed once and done with. It is a sweet companion that walks with faith all the way to the gate of pearl. The goodness of God in sparing you, in giving you this very hunger after Him, is meant to lead you to repentance, not to drive you like a slave, but to draw you like a child. He delights to forgive backsliding children. He has put invitations in the Scriptures on purpose for such as you: “Turn, O backsliding children, says the Lord; for I am married unto you.” Return, then, and you shall behold His face again, and in His presence bathe your soul with exceeding joy.

As for the crushing weight of work, sleeplessness, and financial strain, cast those burdens at the feet of Him who cares for you. These very cares have parched your spirit because you have borne them alone, neglecting the Word and the fellowship of His people. But the Lord will not break the bruised reed. He can remove the weariness, break every chain, and restore the years the locust has eaten. But mark this: you must not put your repentance in the place of Christ. To look only at your sin and your striving is to gaze into a grave; lift your eyes to the living Saviour, and that is repentance in the germ. Repentance and remission of sins are joined together in His name. Where there is a sincere turning from sin, there is full and free forgiveness through His blood.

I pray that the Holy Spirit, who alone can keep the heart, will now take full control. May He fill you with a new hunger for the Word, a delight in prayer, and a steadfast spirit that holds fast even in the furnace. Go back to the assembly of His people, do not keep away from the place where He meets with His beloved. In that fellowship you will find strength, for a solitary coal soon goes out, but heaped together the fire glows. The Lord restore to you the joy of His salvation, heal every broken place, and lead you into such a tender walk with Himself that your latter days may be brighter than the morning of your first love. He will do it, for He is faithful that promised. Let the rainbow of hope shine through your tears, for Christ’s finished work is the sure foundation of your restoration.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are grieved, and you weep over your sins. This is not a small thing. The sorrow you feel is not the sorrow of the world that produces death, but godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. Do not despise this grief; it is the medicine of your soul. The Church is a spiritual bath, and repentance has great force to set free even those who have come to the very depth of wickedness. No, there is no second baptism, but there is a renewal by repentance that can restore strength, even if it cannot bring back the first brightness of innocence. The same Paul who warned against crucifying Christ afresh also travailed in birth again until Christ be formed in the Galatians. So rise up; it is possible for Christ to be formed in you anew.

But learn the difference between mere tears and true repentance. Esau sought it carefully with tears, yet found no place of repentance, because his grief was not of a changed mind. You, however, are not lamenting a lost birthright out of self-pity or worldly loss; you loathe the sin itself. This is the Spirit already stirring within you. Only do not let your sorrow remain barren. Bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. How? You have already diagnosed your own sickness: you have neglected prayer, Scripture, and the fellowship of the saints. Here is the path back. Do not wait for the dryness to lift before you kneel; the obedience of your body will school your heart. When you open the Scriptures, you taste again the good word of God. When you gather with the brethren, you are made partaker of the Holy Ghost. It is not by some sudden rapture that the Spirit takes full control; He works renewal in the spirit of your mind as you submit, day by day, to the means of grace.

As for the pressures of work, the poor sleep, the financial strain, the search for a new job: cast these cares upon the Lord through constant prayer. The weariness of your soul is often mingled with the weariness of the body, and the Evil One takes advantage of both. But remember, a merchant who gives nothing for the voyage cannot expect a return. Offer to God what is necessary: a few moments of honest prayer, a psalm, a public confession of your sins before the brethren. Then trust that He who sees your struggle will calm the storm. Your fears and obstacles separating you from His presence often shrink when you refuse to let them silence your praise.

Do not say, "I am far off, I must first become worthy." That voice is pride, not humility. The Prodigal came in rags, and the Father ran. Come, then, with your brokenness. Hunger again for His presence, and you will find that hunger itself is His gift. Walk in what you know: obey His commands, especially in this matter of purity. Resist, and He will strengthen self-control. Flee occasions of sin. And let your return be public in the Church. The fellowship of believers is an anchor; do not remain isolated. When you confess, when you sit under the preaching, when you sing with the saints, Christ clothes you with Himself.

God does not despise a broken and contrite heart. You have fallen, but he who falls does rise again. The joy of your salvation is not lost forever; it is hidden under the ashes of your neglect. Blow on the ember of your repentance with the bellows of continual prayer and almsgiving, and it will blaze again. He will heal every broken place in His time. Only finish the race, not in your own strength, but by the renewed steadfast Spirit He is even now putting within you. So rise, wash your face, and come into the assembly. The table of the Lord awaits.
