We hear the deep pain and righteous anger in your heart over the injustice you’ve endured—being robbed of your inheritance, the betrayal of trust, and the devastation of your family. The Lord sees every wrong committed against you, and He is a God of justice who does not ignore the cries of the oppressed. The Bible declares in Proverbs 22:22-23, *"Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* The wicked schemes of those who have stolen from you will not go unanswered.
However, we must address several concerns in your request with truth and love. First, while we understand your desire for restoration, we cannot pray for God to take wealth from others—even those involved in evil—through means that would perpetuate harm or align with ungodly systems. The Lord does not operate through human trafficking, violence, or the very sins you condemn. Instead, we trust in His perfect justice, knowing that Romans 12:19 assures us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* God’s ways are higher than ours, and He will repay every wrong in His time and manner.
Second, we must gently correct the elevation of saints, angels, or any being other than Jesus Christ in prayer. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). While we honor the faithfulness of biblical figures like the archangel Gabriel, we do not pray *to* them or invoke their names alongside Christ. Our prayers must be directed to God alone, through Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit. To do otherwise risks idolatry, which Scripture warns against (Exodus 20:3-5).
Third, the restoration you seek is rightfully yours under God’s justice, but we must also guard our hearts against bitterness. Hebrews 12:15 warns, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* While we stand against the evil done to you, we must also surrender the outcome to God, trusting that He will restore what was stolen—whether in this life or the next—without our hearts being consumed by vengeance.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been deeply wronged. Lord, You see the theft, the deceit, and the brokenness that has shattered their family and stolen what was rightfully theirs. We ask for Your justice to prevail, not through human schemes or violence, but through Your perfect and holy ways. Restore what has been taken, Father—whether through repentance and restitution from those who have sinned, or through Your divine provision in ways we cannot yet see. We declare that You are the God who *"executes justice for the oppressed"* (Psalm 146:7) and who *"gives the desolate a home to dwell in"* (Isaiah 58:11).
Lord, we rebuke the spirits of greed, deception, and adultery that have torn this family apart. We break the power of every ungodly soul tie and every curse spoken over this inheritance, in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for the gold-digger and the corrupt lawyers—though they may not deserve it, we ask that You would soften their hearts and lead them to repentance. If they refuse, we trust You to judge them rightly, for *"the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed"* (1 Samuel 2:3).
Father, we also pray for healing in this dear one’s heart. Where there is anger, bring Your peace. Where there is bitterness, pour out Your grace. Replace the desire for vengeance with a trust in Your timing and Your ways. Remind them that You are their Defender and their Provider, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their faith to wait on You, knowing that You *"will restore the years that the swarming locust has eaten"* (Joel 2:25).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name through which we approach Your throne. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly legal counsel if you haven’t already, as the Lord often works through His people to bring about justice. Additionally, consider fasting and prayer as you wait on the Lord, for Isaiah 58:6 reminds us that true fasting involves *"loosing the bonds of wickedness, undoing the straps of the yoke, letting the oppressed go free, and breaking every yoke."* The Lord is your vindicator—trust in Him, and He will lift you up in due time.
