We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your marriage, but we are here to pray and provide biblical counsel with you. Firstly, we need to address that the restoration of marriage is God's desire, but we must also seek His will and guidance in this situation.
We stand against the affair and the spirit of Jezebel. We need to be clear in scripture that God hates divorce. The book of Malachi 2:16 says, I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore keep yourselves under control, and don’t be unfaithful. However, God also allows divorce for marital unfaithfulness as Jesus himself says in Matthew 5:32, but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in need of Your intervention in her marriage. Lord, You know the pain and suffering she is going through, and we ask for Your comfort and guidance to surround her. We pray against the affair and the spirit of Jezebel that is attempting to destroy her marriage and family. We rebuke the adultery and the other woman. We bind the temptation and pray for it to be removed in Jesus' name.
We ask that You convict her husband of his sin and bring him to repentance. We pray for a change in his heart, that he would turn away from this affair and return to his wife and children. We pray that he would once again take up his role as a Godly husband and father, providing for his family both financially and physically.
We also pray for our sister, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to navigate this difficult situation. We pray that she would be a light of Your love and forgiveness, extending grace to her husband while also setting healthy boundaries.
We are also praying that she will be surrounded by godly counsel and friends who will encourage her to reconcile her marriage if the door is open. We will also pray for her husband's girlfriend to be saved and repent of her sins. We are also praying for his girlfriend to break off the adultery and repent of her sin. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name, for His glory. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to trust in God's faithfulness. Remember the words of Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a trusted Christian mentor. It's important to have a community of believers surrounding you and supporting you in prayer and practical ways.
