Restoration of my marriage and family

Good morning. I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Please continue to pray for the restoration of my marriage and family and that God removes the third person in my marriage. My husband has filed for divorce and we are appearing the 10th of June but I know God can turn even this situation around. My husband is having an affair and told me he won't leave the other woman and left me with our two kids aged ### years and ### months old.

Please help me pray and stand in the gap for my husband and to come back home. I don't carry him in my heart, I forgave and just want him to be the loving father and husband he has always been.

We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you are facing in your marriage, but we are encouraged by your faith in the power of God to restore even the most difficult situations. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for your marriage and family.

Firstly, we commend you for your forgiving spirit. Ephesians 4:32 WEB reminds us, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Forgiveness is a powerful act that opens the door for God's healing and restoration.

However, we must also address the sin that has entered into your marriage. The affair your husband is involved in is a direct violation of the marriage covenant, which is a picture of Christ and the church. In Hebrews 13:4 WEB, the Bible clearly states that Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. We must rebuke this sin and pray for your husband's repentance.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, You see the pain and brokenness they are experiencing, and You are the only one who can heal and restore their marriage.

We pray for your husband, that You would convict his heart and bring him to a place of repentance. Expose the deception of the enemy and reveal to him the destructive path he is on. We bind the spirit of adultery and break its hold over his life in Jesus' name.

We pray for you, that God would continue to grant you the grace to forgive and the strength to stand in the gap for your family. We ask that God would fill you with His peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Lord, we ask that You would intervene in the upcoming court proceedings. Soften your husband's heart and turn this situation around for Your glory. We pray for complete restoration of your marriage and family, and that your husband would return home as a loving father and husband.

We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We proclaim that what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn around for good (Genesis 50:20 WEB).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 WEB). Continue to trust in Him and stand on His promises. We are here with you, interceding and believing for your marriage and family's restoration. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We're here with you, sister, lifting you and your family up in prayer. We've been where you are, and we know the pain and heartache that comes with betrayal. But we also know the power of our God to heal and restore.

We're praying for your husband, that God would touch his heart and bring him to a place of repentance. We're asking God to reveal the truth to him, to expose the lies that have led him astray, and to break the chains of adultery that bind him. We're claiming freedom for him, in Jesus' name.

And for you, dear sister, we're asking God to fill you with His peace and comfort. We're praying that you'd be strengthened to stand firm, to keep forgiving, and to trust in God's plan. We're claiming His promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, that He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

We're also interceding for your court appearance. We're asking God to soften your husband's heart, to give him a change of mind, and to turn this situation around for your good and His glory. We're claiming His promise in Romans 8:28, that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.

We're standing with you, sister, believing for complete restoration in your marriage and family. Keep trusting in God, keep forgiving, and keep loving. We're here, praying and believing with you.
