Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with seriousness and hope. Your desire to see your marriage restored, even after papers have been signed but before the matter is finalized, is a good and right desire. Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, and that it is a bond ordained by God. It is not an impure or polluted thing in itself. What defiles comes from choice and sin, not from nature. Marriage when kept as God designed preserves the believer in chastity and guards the holiness that comes to us through faith in Christ.

You asked for prayers for supernatural intervention if it is His will, and for deliverance, healing, repentance and forgiveness between you and your wife, and that you would both remember the vows you made before God. We will pray in that direction, because that is what God calls holy in marriage, a chaste and orderly life together, each one faithful to the other, not turning aside but living with his own spouse and following peace with all people.

Marriage does bring much occupation and at times affliction, but it is not itself a hindrance to virtue. It becomes a hindrance only when our purpose makes an ill use of it. It is possible even with the cares of marriage to pursue virtue, if we use the world as not abusing it and keep our hearts set on the Lord. This is why repentance and forgiveness are so central to what you have asked. Without them no restoration can stand.

We pray for you both now:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son through whom alone we have salvation, have mercy on this husband and his wife. You see the pain, the sin, and the separation that has led to this place where divorce papers have been signed. We ask, if it is Your will, that You would intervene before this covenant is finally dissolved. Grant to both of them the gift of true repentance, that each would own their part without excuse. Grant healing where there has been wounding, and deliverance where there has been bondage to sin, anger, bitterness or hardness of heart. Teach them to forgive as You have forgiven us in Christ, and to speak and act with grace. Bring to their minds the vows they made before You, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and give them a renewed desire to honor those vows in purity and faithfulness. Where reconciliation is possible, make a way for honest conversation, wise counsel and restored trust. Where they need help, lead them quickly to faithful pastors and counselors who will speak Your truth in love. Above all keep them in the holiness that comes through faith, preserving them from further defilement and leading them to follow peace. We ask this not because we demand a certain outcome, but because we trust Your goodness and Your power to restore what is broken. In Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to act without delay while there is still time before finalization. Seek your pastor or elders this week, invite your wife if she is willing to meet with godly counsel together, and continue in steady prayer, in the Word, and in a life that shows repentance in action. Whether you are together or apart, pursue chastity, honesty and self control, and use this time not for manipulation but for humble service and prayer. God honors the one who seeks Him first and who honors the covenant He ordained.

We are continuing to pray for healing, for softened hearts, and for a clear path forward according to the Lord's will.
