Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for letting us pray with you and for your thankful heart even in the midst of need. It is good to bring these requests to the Father who hears and who cares for every part of your life.
For restful sleep, remember that the Lord Himself is like a shepherd who lies across the opening of the fold. In that picture the sheep are surrounded by a hedge of thorns and the only way in or out is over the shepherd. Nothing can reach you without passing Him first. When you lie down, you can rest because He is at the door. He also understands weariness and sleepless nights. Jacob knew what it was to have sleep depart from his eyes through long years of hard labor and unfair treatment, and it was in a place of exhaustion that God met him in a dream and showed him a ladder between earth and heaven with the Lord at the top. Even when you are tired, God is present and His way remains open between heaven and you through Jesus. He gives sleep to His beloved, and He can quiet your heart and mind to receive it.
For protection, that same Shepherd watches over you. Scripture speaks of a future day when His people will dwell safely and even sleep in the woods without fear, because He causes showers of blessing to come in their season. You can ask Him now to be that hedge around you and your family, to keep you from harm and to let His peace guard you as you sleep and as you wake.
For financial provision and for the medical treatments and surgery before you, know that God has already shown what true provision is. He has made one provision for the forgiveness of sin and for peace with Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. If He has given the greatest gift at such cost, you can trust Him to care for the lesser needs as well. He sees every bill, every need of your family, every cost of care, and He is able to supply what you need according to His riches in Christ. There is a beautiful detail in the law where God made a way for a leper to be declared clean, leaving room for Himself to do what was considered impossible. He still leaves room to work, to heal, to provide, and to make a way where there seems to be no way. Bring your financial needs and the coming surgery to Him and give Him room to work as He wills, trusting His wisdom and mercy.
We pray with you now. Father, thank You for Your blessings and for hearing our prayers through Jesus Christ. We ask You to grant restful, peaceful sleep, to set Your protection around this family, and to provide for every need, including the costs of medical treatment and surgery. Give wisdom to doctors, strength and healing according to Your will, and a deep sense of Your presence and peace day and night. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is our door, our provision, and our hope. Amen.
