Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray with you. It is good to bring these needs to the Father, who hears our prayers and has shown His care for you in many blessings already.
Your request for restful sleep and protection reminds us of how a shepherd in that land would care for his sheep. He would gather thorn branches to make an enclosure, and then he himself would lie down in the opening. Nothing could get in to harm the sheep and nothing could wander out without passing over him. Jesus spoke of this when He said He is the door for the sheep. When you belong to Him, He Himself is your protection through the night, and that is why you can rest. Even Jacob, exhausted from his journey and sleeping on the ground with a stone for a pillow, found that God was present there. He saw in a dream a ladder set on the earth reaching to heaven with the Lord above it, showing that heaven is open to us and God watches over His people even while they sleep. There are times when Scripture says God caused a deep sleep to fall on others to protect His servant when he was most vulnerable. The Lord is able to keep you safe in the same way, whether you are awake or asleep.
Your request for financial provision for daily needs and for medical treatments and surgery is also close to the Lord's heart. The greatest provision God has made is for our deepest need, the forgiveness of our sins through His Son. There is only one way our guilt can be put away, and that is through Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to our hearts that this provision is sufficient. If God has so graciously provided for our eternal need, we can trust Him to care for our earthly needs as well. Under the old law God even made a specific way for a leper to be declared clean, leaving room for Himself to do a healing work that otherwise seemed impossible. He still leaves room to work according to His will, whether through medical care, through healing, or through His daily supply. The prophet spoke of His people dwelling safely and sleeping in peace, and of God sending showers of blessing in their season. He is the One who sees your labor and long nights, as He saw Jacob's twenty years of hard service when sleep often left him and his wages were changed again and again, and He is the One who can provide what you need.

We ask You to grant restful, peaceful sleep, to set Your protection around this dear one as a shepherd at the door, and to keep all harm far away. We ask You to provide for every financial need, for the costs of medical treatments and surgery, and to guide the hands of those who give care. Above all, let Your peace rest on this heart through faith in Jesus, Your perfect provision for sin, and let Your showers of blessing be known in this season. We trust You to work according to Your perfect will and to supply all that is needed. In Jesus' name, Amen.
