Restful sleep, protection, financial provision

We come before the throne of grace with your requests, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that you have called upon His name, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Father God, we ask You to grant restful and peaceful sleep to Your beloved child. Your Word tells us in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." We pray that You would calm any anxiety, still any racing thoughts, and bring deep, rejuvenating rest to their body, mind, and spirit. May they wake refreshed and strengthened for the day ahead, trusting in Your care.
Lord, we also pray for Your divine protection over their life. Surround them with Your holy angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Shield them from harm, danger, and any schemes of the enemy. Protect them physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and let Your presence be a fortress around them.
Heavenly Father, we lift up their financial needs to You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). You have promised in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We ask that You open doors of opportunity, provide wisdom in financial decisions, and meet every need, whether for daily living, medical treatments, or surgery. Give them faith to trust in Your timing and provision, and remove any fear or worry about lack.
Lord, we also pray for healing and strength as they face medical treatments and surgery. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We ask for skilled hands for the medical team, successful procedures, and a swift recovery. Let Your healing power flow through their body, and grant them peace as they place their trust in You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take hold. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lastly, we pray that You would draw them closer to You during this time. May they seek Your face, meditate on Your Word, and find comfort in Your presence. Let this season be one of spiritual growth and deeper dependence on You.

It may also be worth letting your doctor know how your sleep is being affected. Sometimes pain, medication side effects, or the stress of upcoming treatments play a bigger role than we realize, and a medical professional can offer practical help alongside your prayer support.
We’re simply asking the Lord to tend to what you’ve named: real rest, real provision, real protection. He knows the surgery ahead and the bills on the counter, and He is not distant from them.

Beloved Warrior
Many a night has found you watching the slow hours, longing for that sweet restorer, balmy sleep, which seems to flee from the weary. Yet it is written, "So he giveth his beloved sleep." This is a sleep peculiar to the children of God, a sleep of contentment, for how few in this world are satisfied, yet the heart stayed on Him rests quiet. It is a sleep of security, for He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He bids you lie down in peace, knowing that while you cannot keep yourself, He is able. When the body is worn with pain and the mind throbs with care for these approaching treatments, remember that the Lord grants sleep as a means of refreshment, recruiting exhausted strength. Do not agitate yourself to grasp it; as no man ever went to sleep by trying, so commit your frame and your thoughts into the hands of Him who giveth to His beloved even in their unconsciousness. The suffering saint who cries, "I cannot sleep," is marked by the Shepherd, and His very weariness shall be a pillow when Divine love-pat stills the storm within.
Divine protection is no small thing, but it is wrapped up in the grand truth of Divine Sovereignty. There is no attribute more comforting to His children. He creates that He may display His own perfections, and in your preservation He will show His power. You go among the wolves, perhaps, in this season of frailty, but grace knows how to pick the jewel from the oyster shell. The dry tree by Divine grace shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. Fear not the adversary, nor the peril of these trials, for the motive that actuates the Divine Architect is His own glory, and it would be much to His dishonor if He failed to bring His weak ones home. He has laid down His life for you and will exercise all His power to keep you secure. When you feel the feebleness that makes you afraid to trust yourself, remember that the High Priest bears your name upon His breastplate. The union between the believer and Christ is not dissolved by trouble; you sleep in Jesus even now as to your affections, and His eye marks you in all your needs.
Concerning the financial provision for these medical treatments and the surgery, cast the whole burden upon the great Shepherd. He who feedeth His flock will not starve one of His own. Is it not written that the rest of the flock should seek the healing of the lame? He has laid down His life for you, and having done the greater, will He withhold the lesser? In the Divine economy, the more care you require, the more care you shall have. The faithful Shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one, and His Divine Grace is most free, most full, most sovereign in these temporal straits. When you know not whence the needed means shall come, that is the tug-of-war, and it is then that He sets us a striking example of His Fatherly provision. Hoard not up the treasure of divine knowledge alone, but eat of the honey of redeeming love, for the same hands that were pierced for you on the tree hold the silver and the gold. The blacksmith’s dog may sleep under the anvil while the sparks fly, but you have a better covenant, ordered in all things and sure. The need that wakes you in the night is known to Him, and He will supply it as truly as He gives song in the night. Wait on the Lord in this, and see if He will not open windows in heaven when earth’s cisterns are dry.

Beloved
I join with you in entreating the Lord for restful sleep, divine protection, and His provision for your medical needs. It is no sin to seek health for the body, for the Apostle himself bade Timothy use a little wine for his infirmities. Yet while you ask for bodily rest, take heed that your soul does not slumber. This present life is a dream, and its cares, like fantasies, quickly pass. If you watch and are sober, the Day of the Lord will not overtake you as a thief. Trust your finances to God’s care: He who crowns you with glory and honor knows your needs before you ask. Only do not let anxiety over these things weigh you down, nor let your provision for the flesh kindle desires beyond what is necessary. Receive the treatment as a means to serve Him with renewed strength. I pray that He grants you peaceful sleep, shields you from harm, and supplies every need according to His riches, so that your restored health may become an occasion for works of mercy and a testimony of His faithfulness.
