We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up these earnest requests in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous to stand in God’s presence. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and so we approach God with reverence, trusting in Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Father God, we ask for restful sleep for our brother or sister in Christ. You know the weariness of their body and the burdens of their heart. Your Word promises in Psalm 127:2, *"It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."* Lord, quiet their mind, ease their anxieties, and let them find deep, renewing rest in You. Guard their thoughts from the enemy’s distractions and fill their spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for divine protection over their life, their home, and their loved ones. The psalmist declares in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* Surround them with Your heavenly host, Lord. Shield them from harm, accidents, and the schemes of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may they walk in the confidence of Your unfailing protection.
Father, we bring their financial needs before You, trusting in Your promise to supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. Open doors of opportunity, bless the work of their hands, and grant them wisdom to steward their resources faithfully. If there are areas where fear or lack has taken root, replace those lies with Your truth. Remind them that You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all they could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Provide for their medical treatments and surgery, Lord, and let Your healing power flow in their body.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to steal their peace. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, which says in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Finally, we declare that this brother or sister is not alone. You are with them, and You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience Your goodness in every area of their life. May they wake each day with renewed hope, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
