We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son who is suffering from this respiratory and lung infection. We know the fear and helplessness that grips a parent’s heart when their child is unwell, and we stand with you in faith, trusting in the Great Physician who heals all our diseases.
Father God, we declare Your sovereignty over sickness and disease. We rebuke this infection in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Lord, we claim this promise over your son. Let Your healing power flow through his body, clearing his airways, restoring his lungs, and bringing down his fever. We speak life and wholeness to every part of his respiratory system, for by the stripes of Jesus, he was healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and specialists who will care for him. Father, grant them discernment to diagnose accurately and prescribe the right treatment. We ask that You open the doors for an earlier appointment with the specialist, for we know that You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:16). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family as they wait and trust in You (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we can be saved and healed (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His authority that we come against this sickness. We declare that this infection has no place in his body and command it to leave now, in Jesus’ name.
We encourage you to stand firm on God’s promises, even when the symptoms linger. Hold fast to His Word, for it is truth and life. Continue to pray without ceasing, and trust that God hears your cries. We also urge you to seek godly counsel and support from your church family, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to You, asking that You surround them with Your love and comfort. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them see Your hand at work in this situation. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already on the way. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
