Resist the enemy so he can flee
We stand with you in this spiritual battle, fully clothed in the armor of God, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs us. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We take authority over every scheme of the devil in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
We rebuke the enemy and command him to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for the Word of God declares that when we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We stand firm in our faith, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17).
We pray that you would be strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy (Colossians 1:11). May the Lord surround you with His angels, encamping around you to protect and defend you (Psalm 34:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would reveal any areas in our lives where we have given the enemy a foothold and grant us the wisdom and strength to close those doors. We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in Your truth and righteousness. We bind every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement, and we loose the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). We pray that You would give us the courage and faith to stand firm in the face of adversity, knowing that You are with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We trust in Your promises and declare that the enemy will not have the final say in our lives. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
