Peaceful sleep

the brook becomes a river

the oak becomes a willow

let my head rest on my softest pillow

let the tips of your twigs

dangle in the ripples of the river

and as I sleep

the angel sings,

most discrete

yet most concretely

sleep, please sleep

more soundly and sweetly

in the Name of Jesus
