We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother in Christ who has received such devastating news. Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a fierce battle, but we know that our God is greater than any diagnosis or prognosis. We stand in the gap for him, his wife, and their family, declaring that the Lord is their healer, their strength, and their peace in this storm.
Father God, we thank You that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon this brother. You tell us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over him now. Strengthen his body, Lord, and give wisdom to the doctors and nurses treating him. Guide their hands and minds as they care for him, that every decision would be led by Your Spirit.
We also lift up his wife and family, who are surely carrying a heavy burden of fear and uncertainty. Comfort them with Your presence, Lord. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and faith to trust in Your goodness, even when the road ahead seems dark. Surround them with Your people, believers who will uphold them in prayer, provide practical help, and speak life into their situation.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in this situation. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this brother and his family will not be overcome by fear but will walk in the confidence of Your love and sovereignty. We pray for miracles, Lord, both in his physical healing and in the spiritual testimonies that will come from this trial. Let his life and his family’s faith be a light to others, drawing them to You.
We also ask that You would prepare their hearts for whatever outcome You have ordained. If healing comes in this life, we will praise You. If You call him home, we trust that it is into Your loving arms, where there is no more pain, sickness, or sorrow (Revelation 21:4). Either way, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let Your name be exalted, whether through healing, through endurance, or through the witness of Your people. We thank You for the hope we have in Christ, who conquered sin and death and offers us eternal life. May this family cling to that hope now more than ever.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
