We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his need for placement as his course nears its end. Father God, we know that You hold all things in Your hands, and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You would open the doors of opportunity for him in ways that only You can orchestrate. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we pray that Your perfect will be done in his life, and that You would guide him to the right opportunity at the right time.
We also ask that You would calm his heart and ease his tension. The pressure he feels is real, but we know that You are greater than any anxiety or fear. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, we pray that Your peace would guard his heart and mind as he waits on You.
We rebuke the spirit of comparison and discouragement that may be trying to take root in his heart. It is easy to look at others and feel left behind, but Your timing is perfect, and Your plans for him are good. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, we declare that Your hope and future are ahead for him, and we trust You to provide in Your way and in Your time.
We also encourage him to seek You first in this season. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Father, we pray that he would draw near to You, seeking Your wisdom and direction above all else. May he find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises.
Lord, we ask for a miracle in this situation. You are the God of the impossible, and we believe that You can move mountains. We stand on Your Word in Matthew 19:26, "Looking at them, Jesus said, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" We trust that You will provide for him in ways that exceed his expectations.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us and makes a way where there seems to be no way. Amen.
