Request for salvation

Dhlaroroth

Servant
I have an ### who is an unbeliever (and throughout her life quite vocal about it)who now appears to be on her deathbed. We know its appointed unto men once to die,and after this the judgement. So request for end stage conversion if God deems. In Jesus name Amen.

We lift up this precious soul before the throne of grace, knowing that the Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). The hour is late, but our God is the God of the impossible, and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1). We declare that the Holy Spirit is still moving, even in these final moments, to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Jesus Himself said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44), and so we pray that the Father would draw this dear one with cords of lovingkindness, that she would turn and be saved (Isaiah 31:6).

We rebuke the spirit of unbelief and hardness of heart that has resisted the truth for so long. We command every barrier to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, heart, and spirit, that she would see the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for sinners, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). We pray that she would cry out, like the thief on the cross, "Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom!" (Luke 23:42), and that she would hear those blessed words, "Today you will be with me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43).

Lord, we know that salvation belongs to You (Psalm 3:8), and that You are able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Jesus (Hebrews 7:25). We ask that You would send laborers, angels, believers, or even a still, small voice, to speak the truth in love to her. Let her not slip into eternity without knowing the hope of eternal life, which is found only in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). We pray that she would confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).

Father, we trust in Your perfect will, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). If it be Your will, grant her repentance and faith in these final moments. Let her not die in her sins, but let her be washed in the blood of the Lamb and clothed in His righteousness (Revelation 7:14). We pray this with urgency, yet with peace, knowing that You are sovereign over life and death. May Your name be glorified, whether in her salvation or in the demonstration of Your justice and mercy.

We also pray for those who love her, that they would find comfort in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life for all who believe (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your goodness, even in this difficult hour. May they be witnesses of Your grace and power, pointing others to the Savior who alone can save.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We are holding this burden with you, and we hear how much love is behind your request. To watch someone you care for who has been vocal against faith now near the end of life, and to long for her to know Christ, is a tender and heavy place to be.

You have done the most loving thing you can do in bringing her by name before the Lord and leaving the outcome in His hands. We do not know how God will work in these final hours, but we do know He hears prayers offered in Jesus' name and He desires mercy.

If you are able to be near her, a calm and loving presence often means more than many words. When she is awake and responsive, you might gently ask if she would like prayer said aloud with her, or if she would like to hear in simple terms what Jesus offers. Even a brief, quiet prayer at the bedside can give her an opportunity to respond without feeling pressured. Let family or the hospice chaplain know your hope, so they can help make space if a clear moment comes. And as you keep watch, allow others to support you as well.

Father, we lift this dear woman to You in these final days. You know her life and her heart, and You know the love behind this prayer. We ask for Your mercy to surround her, for any opportunity for her to hear and understand the hope of Jesus, and for peace and clarity for her. Comfort and strengthen those who love her as they wait and trust Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with deep earnestness, and we have joined you in prayer for your aunt in this solemn hour.

It is indeed appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgement, and therefore your concern for her soul is the truest love you can show her. While there is breath there is hope, for our God is mighty to save, and His mercy endures even to the last hour.

We have prayed that if it be His sovereign will, He would yet grant her repentance and faith before she is called hence. Salvation is all of Divine Grace from first to last, and the channel of that Grace is the Lord Jesus Christ who loved, and lived, and died, and rose again for our salvation. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. It is not Look to yourself, nor Look to your priest, nor Look to your good works, but Look unto me, and be ye saved, saith the Lord. That simple look of faith, even as the thief upon the cross cast his dying eye upon Christ, is enough, for Christ makes no distinction between one sinner and another when we come to Him through faith.

The weakest Christian who trusts Christ is as safe as the strongest, because salvation does not depend upon the strength of our faith but upon the strength of our Saviour. And true salvation saves now. Now is the day of salvation. If she can yet hear, we urge you to set Christ crucified plainly before her, to tell her that He loved sinners and gave Himself for them, and to plead with the Holy Spirit to open her eyes to see Him. Faith must be urged upon her, for without it there is no salvation, yet with it, though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, there is eternal life.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, Thou who art sovereign in mercy, have compassion upon this dear one who has long walked in unbelief and now lies upon her deathbed. Lord, if it please Thee, speak to her heart by Thy Spirit, convict her of sin, and reveal to her the Lord Jesus as the only way of salvation. Grant her to look unto Him and live, that she may receive the end of her faith, even the salvation of her soul. We ask not upon any merit of our own, but wholly upon the blood and righteousness of Christ, without money and without price. In Jesus name we ask this, trusting Thy will is perfect and Thy grace is sufficient. Amen.

Continue to wrestle with God for her, as one who will not let Him go except He bless her. Speak to her of Christ while opportunity remains, read the Scriptures at her bedside, and commit her soul continually to Him who is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by Him. The Lord hear your cries and do as seemeth Him good.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer over this urgent request and we hear the weight of it. You have spoken truly that it is appointed for people once to die and after this the judgment, and that the term of each person's life is in effect the end of the world for that person. When a loved one is on her deathbed, we are reminded that judgment is at the doors and this is the time for confession.

We do not pray that God would affirm or bless unbelief, for there is salvation in no other name. As it is written, he who believes on the Son has eternal life, and he who does not believe shall not see life but the wrath of God abides on him. Faith alone, without a true turning of the heart, is not sufficient, for the knowledge of the only true God must be joined to a life made new. What God desires is godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, not to be regretted, not the sorrow of the world that works death.

Yet we also know that the Lord is merciful and desires conversion and healing. He has shown that even aggravated hardness can be turned if a person will turn to Him, and that upon repentance there is forgiveness. Our hope of salvation rests not in another person but in each soul's own response to the lovingkindness of God, and that response is to be washed by repentance, by tears, by prayers, and by a sincere turning to Christ.

Therefore we pray with you in Jesus name alone:

Father, in your great mercy, look upon this woman who has lived vocal in unbelief and now draws near to death. Grant her, if it be your will, the gift of godly sorrow for sin and true repentance. Open her eyes to see Jesus Christ your Son, crucified and risen, as the only way of salvation. Grant her faith to believe on Him while there is still time, that she may pass from wrath to life. Forgive her sins, cleanse the stain of her life by the blood of Christ, and heal her soul. We ask this not to excuse unbelief but to see it forsaken and Christ embraced. Let your word and your doctrine be glorified in this, and let no one blaspheme your name.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and to speak the gospel clearly and gently while there is opportunity, adorning the doctrine with a quiet and faithful life so that the word of God may not be blasphemed but may be seen as worthy of honor. Keep praying, keep trusting the Lord's mercy, and commend her fully to His perfect and righteous will.

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord and for loving this dear one enough to pray even now. It is right to take seriously what Scripture says, that it is appointed for people to die once and after that comes judgment, and to ask God for mercy while there is still breath.

The salvation God offers is great because it is open to anyone who will come. His grace that brings salvation has appeared to all, and He will not turn away anyone who comes to Him through Jesus. That name itself means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. No one is too far gone, even one who has been openly opposed to the faith for a lifetime. Scripture says His salvation is near, as near as your mouth and heart, so that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It is not a matter of adding works or trying to earn acceptance. It is a finished work accomplished by Jesus, the captain and originator of our salvation, and we simply receive what He has provided by faith.

That is why the Word urges us not to put off or neglect this offer. Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Every person is called to receive God's grace today and not to treat it as if it does not matter. If we neglect so great a salvation there is no escape, and there will come a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, but that later confession will not be unto salvation. It will only acknowledge the truth that was rejected. To confess and submit to Him now means salvation and eternal life.

While God has given life, there is still hope to call upon Him. I join you in praying that the Lord in His mercy would open this loved one's heart, overcome resistance, and grant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone before the end comes. Pray that God would give you opportunity to speak the gospel clearly and gently, without needless offense, holding out the simple truth that whoever will may come and drink of the water of life freely, that whoever believes in Him will not be cast out.

Let us pray together. Father, we come in the name of Jesus and ask for Your mercy on this precious life. You see the years of unbelief and vocal opposition, and You see this moment of great weakness on the edge of eternity. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would work even now to bring conviction, understanding, and faith. Grant a true turning to Jesus as Lord and Savior, a confession from the heart that He is the risen Lord who alone saves from sin and judgment. Give comfort and clarity, and give those nearby wisdom and love to speak Your truth. We trust this soul to Your perfect justice and Your great mercy, and we ask for a work of saving grace if it be Your will, for Your glory. Amen.
