Thank you for sharing your heart and your many requests so openly. We are joining you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank God for the desire He has placed in you to be useful in His Kingdom and to honor Him in every area of your life.
We pray that the Lord will give you open doors, clear guidance, wisdom and grace to use the gifts and talents He has entrusted to you. Our prayer is that your service and ministries would bring joy to His heart and glory to His name, and that you would continue to walk in diligence, faithfulness and a strong longing for holiness. Whatever you do, may it be done as unto the Lord and for His glory.
For the business God has placed in your hands, we pray for wisdom, understanding and sound judgment in every decision, and for blessing that comes through honest and faithful work. We ask that what you offer to others would be a true benefit to those who receive it and a testimony of integrity. We pray for help with your supplier and for wisdom to know how to act rightly in that difficult situation, for protection from dishonest customers and unfair dealings, and for grace to deal fairly with all authorities and matters of tax and record keeping. We pray that the Lord would provide what you need for your daily sustenance, that all invoices and accounts would be handled truthfully and legally, and that He would give you clear confirmation concerning the new idea you believe may be from Him, so that if it is His will you may walk in it, and if not, He will make that clear as well. We ask Him to keep you from what would harm you and to establish the work of your hands for His glory.
We also pray for His powerful protection over you, your family and what He has entrusted to you. Scripture shows that Jesus has authority over the physical realm, over sickness, and over the spiritual realm, and that evil spirits are subject to Him. Where there is opposition from people or from unclean spirits, we ask that God would rebuke what is evil, thwart what is intended for harm, and cover you and your household with His keeping power.
Concerning your health, your teeth and wisdom tooth, your eyes, your left leg and pelvis, and the concerns with your stomach and intestinal tract, we bring these needs to the Lord who is able to heal. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Servant who would bear our griefs and infirmities, and Matthew by the Holy Spirit applies that word to the physical healings Jesus performed when He bore our sicknesses, and when He gave His body which was broken for us. We believe God still heals today, and that healing is part of what Christ has provided, and we also recognize that healing can come in different ways. At times it is immediate, at times it is gradual through the natural processes of healing God Himself has built into our bodies, which is no less divine because He created those processes, and at times healing touches the mind and emotions as well as the body.
We do not presume to say that God wills a complete and immediate physical healing in every case in this life. The apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh, and the Lord answered that His grace was sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness. Scripture also teaches that the body of Christ has many members and not all have the same gifts, and that gifts of healings are given as the Spirit wills. For that reason we pray with faith and with submission to His perfect will, trusting His love and sovereignty.
The apostle John prayed a beautiful wish for his friend, that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. That is not a blanket promise that every believer will always be in perfect health, but it does show a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, as another proverb says, a merry heart does good like a medicine. As you seek the Lord, we pray for peace in your heart, strength for your inner man, and trust in His care whether healing comes quickly, gradually, or ultimately in His eternal presence.
We continue to pray that God will work all things for your good, that He will lead you step by step according to His will, and that you will know His presence, provision and peace. May the Lord confirm His direction, guard you from evil, and make your life and work a clear witness to the grace of Jesus Christ.
