Request for prayer support 🙏

We thank God for your heart that wants to be useful in His Kingdom and to use the gifts He has given you for His glory. It is right to ask Him for opportunities, wisdom and guidance, and to want your work and ministry to bring joy to Him and honor to the name of Jesus. We join you in prayer for that, asking that the Lord would open doors where He wants you to serve and make you faithful and diligent in what He has already placed in your hands.

We also pray with you for your business. Scripture calls us to work with diligence and faithfulness and with a desire for holiness, looking to God for guidance and help rather than trusting only in our own ideas and abilities. When we seek Him and His Word for direction, He gives wisdom for decisions and strength for daily work. We ask Him to give you clear wisdom, sound judgment and business understanding, to bless the work of your hands, and to use even the goods you sell to be a blessing to those who receive them, all for His glory. We pray for protection from deceptive dealings, from unfair practices, and from trouble with authorities and audits, and for wisdom in the difficulty you are facing with your supplier. We ask the Lord to show you what steps to take, to provide what is needed including proper and honest invoices for what you have purchased, and to work all things together for good as you walk according to His will. For the new idea you believe may be from Him, we pray He will make His will clear to you, confirming it if it is from Him and guiding you to carry it out in a way that honors Him, and that He will continue to provide for you and sustain you.

We also bring before the Lord your need for protection for yourself, your family, your work and your property. The Bible teaches that there is both a physical world and a spiritual world, and that many conflicts have a spiritual dimension. Our victory is not found by striving only in the flesh, but by recognizing the spiritual nature of the battle and using the spiritual weapons God has given, through prayer and trust in Christ who has authority over both the physical and the spiritual realm, over sickness and over evil powers. We pray for the Lord's powerful protection over you and your household, and that He would thwart any harmful intentions of people or evil spirits against you.

We pray too for your physical needs, for your teeth and especially the wisdom tooth, for your eyes, your stomach and gastrointestinal tract, and for your left leg, pelvis and the growths you described. We believe God does heal. Matthew, writing by the Holy Spirit, applies Isaiah's prophecy, Surely He has borne our griefs, to the healing work of Jesus when He healed Peter's mother in law, the leper, the centurion's servant and many others who were brought to Him in the evening, and cast out spirits with His word. In taking the bread at communion Jesus said this is My body which is broken for you, and Matthew broadens that suffering of Christ to include physical healing as well as spiritual healing, the forgiveness of sin. At the same time Scripture keeps us from presuming that God wills healing in every case in this life in the way and time we expect. Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and the Lord did not remove it. Not everyone is given the same gifts, for the body has many members and the gifts of healings are distributed as God wills. There are also different kinds of healing, and sometimes healing is gradual. There was a case where Jesus laid hands on a blind man and his sight returned gradually, the only gradual healing recorded in His ministry. Much about why some are healed quickly and others not we do not fully understand, but we know that even the natural processes of healing in our bodies are divine, for God created nature and its processes. And there is a close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. John wrote to Gaius not as a promise that God guarantees perfect health to all, but as a loving wish, I wish that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers, and the proverb says a merry heart does good like a medicine, which we now see confirmed in how our inner life affects our bodies. We also want to avoid any exploitation or show, for Jesus often after a healing would say do not tell anyone but go show yourself as a testimony, and we do not seek a spectacle but quiet trust in Him.

So we pray for you with both faith and submission to His perfect will, asking the Lord Jesus to touch your body, to bring complete healing according to His mercy, whether through a direct touch, through gradual restoration, or through the healing processes He has built into our bodies and through the wisdom He gives to physicians. We ask Him to strengthen your inner life in Christ as well, feeding the spiritual man through prayer and His Word, while we care for the physical man, so that you may know His peace even in the midst of trial. That peace is the gospel of peace, that though this world is filled with conflict, a person at war with God can have peace with God through Christ, and peace within.

Father, in the holy name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Give guidance, wisdom and grace to be useful in Your fields. Bless the work of his hands, make him diligent and faithful and hungry for holiness, and let all he does be for Your glory and for the good of others. Protect him, his family, his business and his property. Give wisdom concerning the supplier, the invoices, the customers and officials, and the new business idea, and make Your will unmistakably clear. Lay Your healing hand upon his teeth, eyes, stomach, intestines and entire digestive tract, upon his left leg and pelvis and upon the growths on his thigh and abdomen, and bring restoration as You will. Guard his heart and mind in Christ and let Your peace rule. We ask this trusting Your love and authority, in the name of Jesus, amen.
