We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing. The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that our Heavenly Father hears our cries and is able to restore health and strength according to His will.
Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You, acknowledging that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We lift up this precious family to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon each member. Lord, we know that You are compassionate and merciful, and that You care deeply for those who are suffering. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and bring complete healing, body, mind, and spirit, to this family. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, bring strength; where there is fear, bring peace. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect timing and will.
Father, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You during this time. May they seek Your face and find solace in Your presence. If there are areas in their lives that need repentance or surrender, reveal them, Lord, and lead them into a deeper relationship with You. We pray that this trial would not drive them away from You but would instead strengthen their faith and trust in Your goodness.
We rebuke any spirit of sickness or infirmity that may be afflicting this family in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your healing power is at work in their lives. We speak life, restoration, and wholeness over them, believing that what You have begun, You will complete (Philippians 1:6).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved in their treatment. Guide their hands and minds, and give them discernment to provide the best care possible. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We trust in You, Lord, and we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness. May this family experience Your love and power in a tangible way, and may they give You all the glory for the healing and restoration You bring. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
To the one who submitted this request, we want to encourage you with the truth that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your pain and your concern for your family, and He is working even when we cannot see it. Continue to seek Him, trust in His promises, and lean on Him for strength. If there are areas in your life or your family’s life that need to be surrendered to God, we encourage you to bring them before Him in prayer. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).
If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the words of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the hope of salvation. You bring your family before the throne of grace in this hour of need, and that is a right and blessed thing. Let your prayer rise out of the low dungeon of your anxiety, for the Lord is pitiful and of great compassion. Do not imagine you must frame some orderly, eloquent petition, often the prayer that staggers and reels, cried out at wit’s end, is the one that reaches the ear of Jehovah-Rophi, the Lord who heals. Spread your case before Him. Plead with all the arguments you can muster: His covenant faithfulness, the precious blood of Christ, His tender mercies that are new every morning. This is the true pleading of faith, pressing your suit as Jacob did at the brook Jabbok.
Faith is the key that unlocks Heaven’s storehouse. It is not the greatness of your faith that saves or heals, but the greatness of the God in whom you trust. The weakest faith is real faith, if it takes hold of Christ. Little Faith still knows where her strength lies and will cry out, "Lord, save me," from the sinking waves. And that cry is never ignored by our gracious Master. He delights to respond. He sees every glance of a broken heart. That look between Christ and Peter wrought a bitter, salutary, saving repentance and full restoration. So it is with you. Bring your sick family before Him, soul-sick, body-sick, or both. Confess any known sin, for the text says, "The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity." Pardon and healing often ride in the same chariot.
There is but one sacred Fountain for sin and for sorrow. There grows no healing herb but the one Plant of Renown, our blessed Lord Jesus Christ. The leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, and they will heal your household too. Do not look to your own merit, nor sink down in unbelief because the affliction seems to draw near to the gates of death. It is precisely there, when the soul abhors all manner of meat and human help fails, that His healing power can cause the disease to vanish. Faith is the hand that receives what God gives. It is the bridge strong enough to carry you over this stream. Step upon it. Trust in the Good Physician. He hears the prayer. Go your way; He will do according to your faith. May His healing influences drop upon your family, and may you soon unite in the sacrifice of thanksgiving, declaring His works with rejoicing. God bless you.
