Request for a job and the full favour of God in my life

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord God, l come before you, you see me fully. You have known me before l was born, you know my journey and what lies ahead. I pray for a job so l can take care of my family, my children. Give me the wisdom and the grace l need as l do my applications, guide me to the right place, put me on the right path. I ask that this be done in accordance with your will Oh Lord. You are the God almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth. You said not to worry, but to have faith and put our trust in you. I humble myself Lord and come before you, you know the desires of my heart. Thank you for your favour, for your love, and protection. Thank you for answered prayers. You are Lord, my God. Let your name be praised, in power and glory. Amen

We hear your heartfelt cry for provision and guidance, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life and your family. Your trust in God’s sovereignty and faithfulness is evident, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. While you have called upon the "Lord God" and acknowledged His power, we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Salvation is the first and greatest provision God offers, and from it flows every other blessing.

Now, regarding your request for employment, we affirm your desire to provide for your family, as Scripture commands: "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8). Yet we must also remind you that God’s provision is not merely about a job, it is about His glory and your sanctification. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Do not let anxiety over provision distract you from trusting in Him who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field (Matthew 6:25-34).

We also encourage you to examine your motives in seeking employment. Is it solely for provision, or are there areas where pride, greed, or discontent may be creeping in? The Lord searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10). Ask Him to purify your desires so that your work, whatever it may be, is done as unto Him and not for men (Colossians 3:23).

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Lord, we lift up this brother/sister before You, asking that You open the doors of opportunity according to Your perfect will. Grant him/her wisdom in his/her applications, interviews, and decisions, that he/she may walk in the path You have prepared (Ephesians 2:10). Provide not just any job, but the right one, a place where he/she can serve You, provide for his/her family, and grow in godliness.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may seek to grip his/her heart. Remind him/her that You are the God who provides (Genesis 22:14) and that Your plans are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen his/her faith to trust in You, even when the answer seems delayed. Let him/her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, he/she will reap if he/she does not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Lord, we also pray for his/her family. Bless his/her children and spouse with Your peace and protection. May they see Your hand at work and grow in their own faith as they witness Your provision. Guard their hearts from discouragement and fill their home with Your presence.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Whether You provide quickly or in Your perfect timing, let Your name be praised. May this brother/sister walk in humility, gratitude, and obedience, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek godly counsel as you navigate this season. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). The Lord is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

We hear the weight of this, the desire to provide, the love that fuels every application, the ache of waiting. What we see in your words is a heart that isn't just looking for a paycheck; it's a parent's heart, set on caring for the family God has given you. That kind of steady love isn't lost on Him. The diligence you're showing matters. The very act of humbling yourself and asking for wisdom is already a sign that you're walking on the right path.

As you keep filling out applications and waiting on responses, one practical step that often helps is simply letting a few trusted people in your life know exactly what you’re looking for. So many jobs come through the quiet, faithful relationships we already have, someone at church, a former coworker, a neighbor. Let them be part of this journey with you. It’s not about networking as the world sees it; it’s living out the truth that we are members of one body, and we carry each other’s needs.

The uncertainty is hard, and we’re not going to minimize it. But we can pray with you, right where you are.

Lord, you see this parent, their children, their household. You know where they need to be. Give them uncommon clarity as they read through job listings and fill out forms. Put their name in front of the right people, and open a door that no one can shut. Guard their mind from discouragement in the waiting, and provide for their family’s needs in concrete, tangible ways. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your prayer has risen as incense before the throne, and it is good that you bring your need for labor before the Lord who does not despise the cry of the humble. Remember, He is mighty in strength of heart, and because He is so infinite, no petition is too small for His notice. The great ones of the earth may overlook the struggling father, but the Most High has full often chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith. Your daily offerings for your children, like Job’s sacrifices for his sons, show a soul that does not conceal the Words of the Holy One, but walks in reverent care for your household.

Yet let this season of application be more than a search for bread. The consolations of God are never too small, they assure the believing heart of a new spirit and a power that subdues fear. If the Son of God is with you in this trial, there is an end to every sort of anxiety, for He says, “Fear you not, for I am with you.” Your longing for guidance is in truth a longing to find God Himself. Like Job, you would cry, “Oh, that I knew where I might find Him!” Seek His face more than His favors, and you shall discover that divine appointment rules every moment. The place of your future labor is already fixed by the Father’s hand, and the steps of your applications are guided by His wisdom.

Walk on, then, with a generous and trusting spirit. The Lord’s release comes not only from debt, but from the prison of worry. If you have done all that lies in you, leave the result to Him. A season of waiting may well be the whirlwind out of which God speaks, granting you a sight of His glory that the hearing of the ear could never give. Wrap your requests in the righteousness of Christ, He is your complete answer to God. Your family will be fed, your path made plain, and His name praised in your prosperity.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let your heart be troubled by the pressing need for employment, for the same Lord who walked upon the sea as upon dry pavement holds all creation in His hand and orders every circumstance according to His will. He who provided manna in the wilderness and multiplied the loaves will not neglect your children's hunger. Consider how He commands the winds and waves, and yet asks you to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. Your prayer rightly acknowledges His sovereignty, and this is the foundation of unshaken trust.

But let your trust be matched by diligence. The Apostle says, "If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat." So do all that is proper in preparing applications and seeking with prudence, yet always with the temper that says, "If the Lord wills." Make provision for your household, for this is a duty laid upon you, but make it without the feverish anxiety that belongs to those who have no hope. The flesh requires sustenance, but not excess; so seek what is needful, not what feeds vanity or soft living. You ask for a job to care for your family: this is a worthy desire, and God does not despise such petitions when they are lifted up with humility.

But remember that the highest favor of God is not found merely in earthly supply, but in the grace that shapes your soul. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Let your wisdom be the fear of the Lord, and your path the way of integrity. Do not envy those who prosper through unrighteousness, nor be anxious as though your life consisted in the abundance of possessions. The present life is a dream, and its riches often vanish before the day of account. Lay hold of the true life by faith, prayer, and the practice of mercy to your own household and to the poor. Then, whether you have little or much, you will possess the peace that surpasses understanding. Go forward in this spirit, and the God who numbers every hair of your head will direct your steps.

Your prayer rests on the right foundation: God has known you before you were born, and the desire to work and care for your children is honorable. You are not asking for ease at any cost; you are asking for His will, and that is the posture of faith.

Job knew what it was to lose provision and security. In his misery he cried out, but even in confusion he could say, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust him." That is the trust your own words are reaching toward. It does not mean you will understand every delay or silence. It means your life and your need are in God's hands, and because they are in His hands, you can rest while you keep doing what is right.

Do not despise the waiting. The Lord often uses closed doors and unanswered weeks to bring us to the end of our own strength, so that we learn what it is to rely on Him alone. He does great things, unsearchable things, marvelous things without number. That includes opening a job no application can force open.

Let your search be an act of worship. Prepare your applications honestly, work diligently, and then commit the outcome to God. The wisdom you asked for begins here: the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. Keep your heart clear of bitterness and fear. The command not to worry is not a command to pretend the need is small; it is an invitation to bring the need to the One who already knows it.

He gave you life and has preserved you so far, and He will not abandon you now. He has not promised to give us every desire on our own terms, but He has promised to be near to the humble. You came before Him humbly, and that is the only safe place to stand. Through Jesus Christ you have access to that mercy. I am praying that the Lord will open the right door, give you clarity in each step, and make you a faithful provider for your children. May He grant you His favor according to His will, and may your trust in Him grow even before the answer comes.
